1967 Dodge Dart
You're looking at one seriously sinister 1967 Dodge Dart. There was plenty of money invested in upgrading the V8 power and turning this into an all-dark NHRA-style machine. So if you want something vintage that's still wild enough to rule the streets or strip, read on...
Dodge's flyweight Dart proved the old adage that taking weight out was just as effective as beefing up horsepower. But what if you did both, then painted it a sleek Midnight Blue Metallic? Well, you'd have this incredible Dart. These have always been the blocky looking bad boys, and now this one has an extra dose of dark flair. It also doesn't hurt that this has aggressively black fiberglass lift-off hood with the massive hood scoop. And while you do have some nice brightwork on the chrome bumpers and even the Cragar SS front wheels, those large rear steelies are a classic sign of a street-eating machine.
The restored interior instantly reminds you of the best super stock classics. The black vinyl is exceptionally clean and absolutely mean. In fact, this one looks correct right down to the trunk mat. Any extra frills add weight and take away from speed, so this is a very simple machine. They did give you a set of bucket seats up front, but that's so that the Turbo Action ratchet shifter fits nicely in-between. You have the classic thin Dart steering wheel, and that gives you an unobstructed view of important upgrades like the AutoMeter auxiliary gauges and the digital tach with shift light.
The slick blue walls of the engine bay funnel your attention to the beastly big block. This 440 cubic-inch V8 has been enhanced with go-fast goodies like a large Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and a rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust. This feeds the stout Torqueflite A727 three-speed transmission on its way to the 3.55 rear end with a limited slip differential for confident moves on the streets. And while you have all this power, you also have good control thanks to the upgraded front suspension that included slotted disc brakes.
The Darts were the perfect cars to make into a quarter-mile machine back in the day, and this example represents that perfectly. It even comes with plenty of build receipts and title documentation to prove to you how it got this way. So if you love a true classic racer, don't let this deal slip away. Call today!!!
