1969 Dodge Charger
I built this car for mysel, but my original Charger that I had at 16 became available so I had to jump it. That means I have to sell this one. This Charger includes the build shee, fender tag and all original sheet metal. The car spent its entire life in west Texas until 2 years ago when I bought it. The shell was striped and blasted to bare steel and refinished . This is a highly detailed Charger that I put my heart and soul into and I will be sad to see it go, but things happen.Body:The body was stripped and blasted to bare metal . The only rust was in the lower quarters and they were patched. The rear valance was torn and dented so I replaced it with an Nos one. Even the rear window opening was rust free. Body was epoxy prime, body worke, blocked out straight and shot with the correct B7 Blue paint which I matched to original paint found in the door jambs. Paint and body are awesome. All of the stainless trim was professionally straightened and polished to a mirror finish. Restored and replated wiper motor. All new ECS dated glass. Show chromed bumpers. NOS tailights and trim. Original jack. Everything works as it should . Even the headlight lids work flawlessly.
Drivetrain:Being a factory 4Speed car it came with a Dana 60 rear. It's rebuilt and still retains the 3:54 suregrip. The transmission is also completely gone through . It is an original Hemi Four speed from a 69 Charger R/t but is not numbers matching. The numbers matching 440 was long gone when I got it so I decided a Hemi would be a good choice. The engine is pro built using a world products block. Edelbrock aluminum head, and a mild roller camshaft . It is 472 cubic inches. Has a single four barrel . Engine runs super strong and smooth. Trans shifts perfect and the rear end is quiet and smooth as well. It also has a brand new reproduction Glen-Ray 054 radiator. Factory exhaust manifolds and Tti 3" x pipe exhaust. Engine is mounted using a reproduction Hemi k flame and stock style mounts. Dennys driveshaft.
Suspension and brakes:The brakes are completely rebuilt 11 inch drums featuring carbon metallic shoes which work awesome. New drums too.The suspension is completely rebuilt using all the best parts. New torsion bars from PST that are a little bigger than stock. It has Koni shocks and it handles great. Tires a reproduction firestone red lines and it drive superbly. Hub caps are new stainless steel repros.
Interior:
The entire interior is new from Legendary auto interiors. The carpet is shipped flat from ECS automotive. Originally the interior was blue but I opted to go with white. The seat frames and tracks were blasted painted and restored as well. Heater box is nice and also redone. The gauges were sent ou, rebuilt and recalibrated. The fuel sender is an nos mopar one so the gauge actually reads full when it is. Door latches along with many other parts have been replated and look stunning. The factory am/ 8 track radio and three speakers work awesome too.
Forgot to add that this car was ordered by someone in the Military over seas on duty. this makes it an export car hence the tag next to the fender tag. even though it likely never left the states.
Also would like to note that it was very low optioned. am 8 track, center console, undercoating, and 3:54 Dana. This is really rare for a Charger. Dude must have wanted to go fast and didnt need a bunch of cusion to do it!
This is a Very highly detailed car and is sorted very well. Ready to rock and roll!
Any questions feel free to email or give me a call. 563/568/7331 thanks Brian
