The car was born a 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 and has beentransformed into the stunning Super Bee tribute car you see here. Thecaris rock solid inside and out.The engine and transmission are freshly rebuilt with less than 200 miles on each. Both were completely stock rebuilds with all new bearings, gaskets, rings, seals etc. throughout. Same with the transmission, everything needing replaced was replaced with new.The enginerunsperfect, revs strong and has no noises, leaks or smoke. The transmission shifts flawlessly and is crisp andfresh like new. The rear end is quiet and smooth with no noises. Thepaint colorwas key to me and I spent over a month before landing on the perfect yellow. I don'tcare forthe pale yellow and butterscotch colorsI see on a lot of these cars, itjust didn't have the impact I wanted. The color you see here is all Mopar... its Detonator Yellow base coat clear coat and it is beautiful. Both front and rear bumpers and all carriage boltsare brand newand correct, all of the bumperbrackets were bead blasted, primed andpaintedalong with new nuts, bolts and washers. New chrome door handles. New front amber marker lenses and new rear red marker lenses all with correct datecodes and Pentastar markings. New correct chrome antenna bezel and telescopic antenna. New correct Pentastar emblem on lower passenger side fender. New rear OEM factory correct stripepackage with reflective bee and color matching lens bezels. Newbee emblem on trunk lid.Restored original rear tail bezel. Restored original gas door/lic. plate bracketand gas cap. New rubber bumpers for the gas door/lic. plate bracket. All stainless trim around windows and doors is original. All three locks.. doors and trunk were in perfect condition and werecleaned oiled and re-used.. I have the original keys that came with the car when new and they operate all the locks and ignition perfectly. The front grill is alloriginal including the headlight buckets and blinkers... all were restored back to factory original. All the tires are brand new.. the two fronts, the two rears and the spare tire. The fronts are Cooper Cobra Radial GT 225/70R15s and the rears are BF Goodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radials 275/50R15. These are the correct size Super Bee wheels.. correct stagger.. wider in back than front, painted gloss black, all sealed beads, new correctvalve stems, new correct lead wheel weights, new correct solid chrome lug nuts, new correct front bearing dust covers. New custom bent dual exhaust with cross over pipe and Hooker Performance Aero Chamber mufflers... sounds wicked, mean and nasty! All four shocks are brand new. All new spark plugs with date correctChrysler plugwires (3-68 =Third Quarter, 1968). Plug wires made in the third quarter of 1968 would have been used on the 1969 cars built when mine was. New distributor cap, new rotor, new points, new condenser, new vacuum lines, new heater hoses, new oil, air and gasfilters, fresh full service oil change, grease job and rear end service. Both doors havenew weather stripping, new door bumpers and new plastic/rubber plugs. Trunkopening has new weather stripping and new trunk lid bumpers. Trunk floor has new plastic/rubberplugs andnew trunk mat. The interior of the caris beautiful and has hadnew plastic/rubber body plugs throughout the floors, doors, trunk, etc. New Hush mat installed under the new carpet, New Legendary front and rear seat covers, New headliner and sail panels, new package tray, new door panels in front and new side panels in back with all new arm rests front and rear and all new chrome arm rest bezels front and rear, new windlace on both sides by door openings. New interior chrome door locks. New kick/scuff plates on both sides. new visor rodrubber tips. New floor mats. All of the windows front and back roll up and down smoothly and both wing vent windows operate smoothly. Both doors, trunk and hood open and shut perfectly... solid, smooth and tight. The hood is original to the car (as is all the body panels, doors, floors, trunk floor, trunk lid, core support etc.). The hood has the Six Pack scoop expertly molded in, perfectly centered and shot with hot rod black (paint was slightly thinned) to give it the perfect factory sheen. Many test panels were shot to come up with the rite sheen for the hood. The sheen is perfect, easy to clean and very durable. The underside of the hood was shot with 2000 degree heat resistant satin black paint. The Six Pack logos on the hood scoop are correct reproductions and the hood pins are real stainless steel that were modified and applied to the hood. They are secured perfectly with no slop or wiggle and the pins can actually be removed, replaced or have lanyards added. The hood opens exactly like it did from the factory and unlike a lift off hood it doesn't require a second person to check your oil! The car is a blast to drive and draws a crowd everywhere it go's. Constant thumbs up, horn blasts and smiles all around. There are a few minor things that could use attention. The steering wheel has some cracks on it, just on the wheel itself. I have repaired and repainted these with excellent results in the past. The A/C is completely hooked up and the compressor turns on like it should from inside but I haven't had a chance to have it charged. Its still the original R12. The radio and gas gauge doesn't work. The radio is original to the car and has never been removed, I would send it in and have it refurbished or you could just replace it with the same model radio or a upgraded sound system. The car needs a new sending unit to get the gas gauge working again and can be accessed easily without removing the gas tank, it's rite in the front of the tank. All minor things that could be addressed in a weekend. I'm working 75 hours a week now and just don't have time to do them. I have a clean, clear Indiana Title in my name, owners manual, three Broadcast sheets, a three ring binder with invoices and product info. and a car cover.
If you have any questions I will be glad to help. Thank You
Car is sold in as is condition. Please have all funds in order prior to bidding. I reserve the rite to end this auction at any time.
