For Sale; 1948 DeSoto (LWB; Long Wheel Base) Unrestored DeSoto previously owned by Stanley Opatowsky. (Chrysler Corporation Engineer and WPC magazine article contributor) Engine is flathead "Spitfire" 6-cylinder, paired with a fluid drive transmission. Odometer reads 91,437, however actual mileage is unknown since speedo does not work. Body is still original with no rust. Doors open and close, as they should. Windows crank up and down. Back seat includes two jump seats. (see photo) Engine hood has an inside release latch. Tires are approximately six years old with less than 2000 miles. The right front fender was replaced by previous owner. Sale includes 4 additional period correct hubcaps and shop manual. (see photos)
