1970 Datsun 240Z

I have owned this original beauty since 12/2012. I believe I am the third owner and it has a binder with a great maintenance history with the car. It is a very low serial number 4445 car built in 5/1970. It has approximately 187,000. I only put approximately 4,000 miles on it in the 11 years I have owned it. Plates paid up thru 7/24.

It was repainted in the original red in 6/1984.THERE Is A SMALL BUBBLE ON THE DRIVER'S REAR FENDER LIP THAT HAS BEEN THERE FOREVER SEE PIC.According to the records it was stripped to bare metal when painted. It still looks fantastic. It still has the original spill vinyl piece on the gas filler door. There is a scuff mark on the roof probably from car cover used over the years when it was briefly stored outside. It is impossible to photograph.Probably during the paint job new carpet was replaced (not original material). Also, the quilted plastic was removed and replaced with the carpet material. Of course, the original radio was replaced with a cd player, but the electric antenna still works with the button placed near the radio.

Things done in its history per detailed history:

Valve job @ 100k

Timing chains @ 130k

Clutch @ 158K

Ujoints @ 179k

FRT Struts @ 102k

Rear Struts @ 140k

Transmission rebuilt @ 140k

Recent work since I have owned it:

New tires @ 184K

Water pump @ 187k

Brakes @ 187k

New mounts, belts hoses clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and the radiator professionally cleaned and checked.

The underbody is in fantastic condition as is the rest of the car. It has all the smog stuff, but the belt had been disconnected from the air pump when i purchased but it turns freely. I never had the air conditioning charged since I never drove it that much. Also, the Dash is of course cracked, and the heater has been by passed. Of course, I never fixed the heater since I live in California.

IT has been garaged for several years and only exercised sparingly. Therefore I believe it should have a real good tune up and carbs adjusted to make it run even better than it does now.I am getting older and therefore thinning the herd. I hate to get rid of it because early ones like this are hard to find and the price just keep going up.

Items that come with;

New plastic full dash cover still in box, 2 complete heater boxes with heater cores, a valuable choke knob, owner and shop manuals and miscellaneous tune up stuff etc.

Deposit of $250 due within 24 hours and balance within 7 days. Car can stay inside for a reasonable time after payment is made. This is negotiable.
