My neighbor asked me to list this car for him/find a buyer. I am a professional mechanic of 30 years and have maintained this car, thus why he tasked me to advertise it for him. 1971 Datsun 240Z. This is a second owner vehicle that has been well cared for, a California car that has beeneither garaged or covered most of its life. The current owner bought this car in 1975 from his uncle who bought it new. Clean title in hand.Odometer reads 46390, odometer has been rolled over once, so actual mileage is 146390. The interior is in good condition, with the carpet and mats havingbeen replaced. Seats have been redone in the past. The car runs and drives well, oil changed regularly, and service needs meticulously tended to. The car wears a repaint that was done a few years back, good glass and beautiful chrome. The only incident the car has had was the front bumper replaced in the mid 70's when another car backed into it in a parking lot. All original body panels. This had a dealer installed aftermarket AC when bought new, which has been replaced with an aftermarket Factory Air system, and itworks well. All the climate control levers were lubed and adjusted, and move freely.The windshield wipers have been replaced with the Honda wiper motor conversion with a park relay installed. The tachometerhas had a 280Z mechanism swapped into the 240Z housing and faceplate, with the proper signal line resistor installed. Works perfect. The cars has shoulder belts installed with an aftermarket retractor.Good barely used set of tires. This car is remarkablyrust free. Doors, hood, hatch close and line up well. Sports a set of vintage aluminum slotted mags. It has the original numbers matching engine. This is an all around nice second owner 240Z. The blue vanity plates obviously do not come with the vehicle. It will come with new DMV replacements. Please don't waste my time or yours with shenanigans.
