1974 Datsun 240Z / 260Z / 280Z JCR

Up for sale is my 1974 Datsun JCR widebody 260z + parts This rare barn find JCR ( Jim Cook Racing ) 260z is a running restoration project that will need some work to be brought back to its glory days but nevertheless, it's an amazing find and would make a great addition in anyone's collection, as an investment or just to be used as a fun daily driver.

Vehicle Details

BODYWORK.

The car would need a full paint job,

It has minor to moderate rust in certain places, but nothing that is too serious or can't be repaired. The worst part of the car is a section of the passengers' side floorpan,

There is a lot of work and parts that went in this 260z by the previous owner.

Unfortunately, the original build sheet was lost, so I'll be mentioning just a few visible parts that the car has but is not limited to.

EXTERIOR.

The car is equipped with a full Jim Cook racing wide bodykit that was purchased from the JCR catalogue back in the 80s.

The kit included wide front fenders with the rectangular headlights and fiberglass cover, matching front and rear fibreglass bumpers (rear bumper is not installed but included), racing vented hood, full wide vented quarter panels, whale tail rear wing, rear removable window louvers.

Sections of the rear quarter panels would need repairing.

Passenger's side quarter panel would have to be realigned as it was removed and was reinstalled incorrectly.

WHEELS.

15" inch Dayton wire wheels with BFGOODRICH tyres, the tyres are old and would need replacing, but they hold air, except for one on the passenger side front. The wheels would need refurbishment.

INTERIOR.

Half caged cockpit with upgraded seat belt, the old carpets have been removed to show the condition of the floors. New carpets are included, along with all the trim pieces needed to fully complete the interior . The door cards are mocked fitted, and so is the centre console.

MOTOR.

VIN. RLS30020394

4-speed manual gearbox, L26 rebuilt motor (don't have build date) triple 40DCOE webers. The motor starts and runs smoothly with just a flick of the key, but the carbs will need to be finely tuned, and the motor would need a basic service. The radiator has a small leak.

The car is equipped with an aftermarket electronic fuel pump, aftermarket ignition system and coil, new batter, new clutch master and slave cylinder, 4 to 1 manifold into exhaust system with Sport muffle, front and rear strut braces, aftermarket suspension, red poly bushings.

All these parts that are mentioned are just what I can visibly see that's been added to the car, but I am certain that there is much more that has been done to it.

The car comes with multiple and various parts, spare panels, and interior trim pieces in which there are some new Nissan OEM parts like weather strip mouldings and so on

There is a spare hatch door with glass, a spare fibreglass racing hood with vents, a set of rocker panels, a set of door, various Crome pieces, and windshield mouldings, spare original 240z wooden steering wheel, a few datsun AC Compresor, few sets of clusters and gauges just to name a few.

Unfortunately, I am limited on free time to browse through all of the parts as there are too many .

The car itself and the parts were left in dry storage for more than a decade .
