This outstandingly original, Californian blue plate, numbers matching 240Z has been in AZ for the last 9 years and previously with the original owner in North Hollywood California.117,233 actual miles.The exceptionally corrosion free body with zero repairs or bondo present must make this, although non running Z an ideal and very straight forward restoration and a fantastic project for someone. The original Hand Books, Air Conditioning manual, Dealer Directories, copy of Californian title and numerous registrations in the first owners name dating right back to 1975! are included along with the original tool kit and Jack.
Exterior:Exceptionally, every panel on this Z is original and the entire car is still in its factory Coco Brown Metallic paint, all the doors and tailgate open, close and lock with either of the original keys. None of the usual corrosion will be found on this one, the doors, rockers, floors, inner wing flitches, quarters etc are outstanding although there is some bruising to the legs due to grounding at some time. The paint is faded externally and numerous dings are present but most will be easily rectified by a good PDR man prior to refinishing. Not all the original badges are present, the glass is all good although a very small rock chip is present high up on the passengers side windshield.
Interior:The Light Brown and Black interior is totally original but both seats would best be recovered and the dash pad is cracked. However a lot of the interior trim could be retained particularly in the trunk area and console etc, The door jams, door frames, trunk panels, spare tire well are immaculate with almost perfect original paint. All of the original sound deadening is present in a separate bag and the Black carpets are all original with usual wear.
Engine & Mechanics.The motor is correct, original to the car and numbers match the vin plate, however it does not run but does turn freely. Brakes and clutch hydraulics will need going through and as the car was last driven on the roads of CA in 1991 brakes will need overhauling.The engine bay is absolutely original and the firewall area, battery and washer bottle covers all in outstanding condition.
Body:Whilst this Z is a restoration project the exceptional condition of the body shell and its total originality will make this a much more cost effective and straightforward project than most out there. I have a link to a huge picture file and a walk around video, please request via eBay messages.The hatch area of the body is really good, the hatch itself does have some surface rust around and under the rubber which may need some repair work and as mentioned before there is some grounding damage to the rails.The worst dings in the body are to the hood, drivers fender and roof but no panel replacement will be required. The wheel openings and lower quarters are all outstandingly sharp and original as are the rear valance, wheel houses and entire underbody. There are dents to the rear light panel just above the bumper but the rear lights are in great condition. Chrome, badges and rubbers will need replaced.The spare wheel is the original Wolfrace Alloy and the road wheels have been replaced with later Z series alloys with locking lug nuts that still have the security key. Tires have lots of tread, hold air but are way out of date! Original California blue plates come with the car.
I have tried to include as much info as possible but there will be issues I have not listed or been aware of, this is a project vehicle but one you are starting way way ahead of the great majority of rusty, multi owner, multi colored examples elsewhere.

I require a $500 deposit immediately following the auction, and the remaining balance is to be bank wired or paid in cash within 3 business days. No exceptions. Please do not bid if you cannot comply with these conditions. I can hold the Z until you arrange pickup, but it must be paid for in full as stated above.
