Description:

1977 Datsun Z-Series

This auction features my 1977 Datsun 280Z. It has been a dependable daily driver and does great on the highway easily keeping up with traffic thanks to its 5 speed manual transmission and fuel injection. If you've never owned or driven a Datsun Z car, you need to put that on your bucket list for sure. My 280Z has been professionally serviced (receipt included totaling $4,610.48) at Tidewater Z in Poquoson, VA which included the following:
> Serviced ECU> Complete brake job including new master cylinder, calipers, pads, and rotors up front and clean/adjust rear brakes> New wheel bearings and seals> New strut rod bushings> New ball joints> New front and rear struts> New fuel injectors, plugs, cap, rotor, wires> New water temp sensor and harness> New clutch, flywheel, and rear main seal> New transmission mount and speedometer pinion seals> New fan belts> New oil and filter> New transmission oil and rear end oil> New thermostat and coolant> New slave cylinder> Valve adjustment> Service air conditioning system
Car drives and presents well. Gauges work (clock is non-op), signals work, A/C blows cold!, heater works, lights work, shifts well into all gears. That said, there are some quirks as you would expect with a 45 year old car. For example, the tachometer works but sometimes the needle sticks a little. Original radio is present but not hooked up. This is a well cared for Datsun but again keep in mind it is 45 years old so some tinkering from time to time may be needed and is part of the fun! Please look over the pictures carefully and consider them part of the description. The car does have a few rust spots and dents/dings as shown in the pictures, the spare tire compartment and hatchback panel are clean. Floors are solid overall but there is some rust in the toe board area. Odometer shows 55K, guessing it has rolled over at some point.
One of my favorite things about my 280Z is the premium leather seats. I had them professionally restored using a very high grade of leather. They are very comfortable and the leather smell is simply wonderful.
As a bonus, I am including a 1978 Datsun 280Z parts car. It is offered to the winning bidder free of charge. It is 95% complete and does have a title, though it is rather crusty and has rust throughout the back of the car. Again, it is full of great parts but is being offered as a bonus free of charge to the high bidder.
So there you have it. The only reason I am selling the 1977 280Z is because I have a 1971 240Z that needs everything, LOL! I am happy to work with your shipper if needed. Don't be afraid to send me a reasonable offer. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of winning auction. Thanks for looking. Good luck!
