1978 Datsun 280Z -5 Speed. Long Long Time Low Mile Sitter.-Solid Project

1978 Datsun Z-Series

This is a 1979 Datsun 280Z . I got it in a package deal with some other cars. I have no direct history on it. Other than it was a long time Tucson Arizona sitter.Outdoor stored under cover..Looks to of been factory blue. Then gray, Then present white.. Floorboards,rockers,spare box, tailgate ledge, doglegs pretty much clean and rustfree The floorboard rails are rusty in paces. The drivers side front lower fender is rusty as is the inner wheelwell near the control arm. Though the passenger side is nice as can be.There is rust out on the front right inner engine bay right near the radiator core support. I have an idea that happened due to plants,weeds,even a small tree were growing there. Check out the picture of the wood stem growing behind the bumper on the front right. The floors are nice,clean and rustfree.This is a 5 speed factory original transmission.. The odometer shows a bit over 18 thousand miles. as does the title from January,2018 the seller shows as 18,056 Box A miles. Meaning actual miles, he claimed. While the foot pedals,steering wheel,horn button, shift boot, door panels seem to show very little miles and use over all the years, I would wonder why the car had been painted 3 times with such low miles. So I will not call it that. Though 118,000 seems high for the wear parts in the interior . I will call it miles unknown.The engine looks compete. but other than turning over easily, I have no clue on condition.Figure rebuild, hope for good to go. Though it looks like someone fairly recently was trying to bring it back to life. New plugs, wires, cap, looks like a new AFM, some work on fuel injection regulator valve,etc. This Z has a lot going for it. Last year 280Z. 5 speed transmission. AC car,Not been hacked up and customized other than repaint. original interior.Nice bumpers,good glass.And so on. This will make a great wintertime project to get out on the road by summer.I travel around the West Coast with my truck and trailer and might be able to get it to you or close. And can arrange trucking to Long Beach California shippers for overseas buyers for $300. Clean straight title.
