1971 Datsun Z-Series

This is your chance to own a rare, clean, straight, and rust-free example of a Series I 240z. Frame rails are in good condition, except for one location where someone used a jack. Floor pan is clean, spare tire area is clean. This car can be driven as-is, or is a great candidate for a restoration. This car is 46 years old and has imperfections as expected. There is evidence of a re-spray, however, no evidence of any accidents. Battery tray is clean. Do not see any evidence or rot or panel rust, Based on research it appears this has been a California and Texas car.
Engine has been swapped to an L28 (2.8 liter), mated to a 4-speed transmission. Triple 40mm Weber carbs and intake have been added. Completely new 6-1 exhaust header and new sport exhaust with sport muffler. The car does run and drive fine, I'd recommend taking to a Weber expert for tuning. Comes with air cleaners, extra jets, chokes, air flow meter, etc.
The car comes with most parts removed, including original SU carbs/intake system and exhaust header, but not muffler. A complete weather strip kit is included, but will need to be installed. Tail light gaskets have already been replaced.
Vehicle has new tires mounted on new XXR wheels. I do not have original wheels.
Interior appears to be complete, seats and other surfaces in good condition. Dash has a couple of small cracks, new dashcap/cover included. New shift knob, new exterior mirror included. Mileage listed as 7103, actual mileage unknown.
The car will need a new carpet kit as the old front carpets were removed to show the floor pan.
