1977 Datsun Z-Series

1977 280Z Beautiful car that is a reliable daily driver. Mostly stock with a few upgrades for reliability/driveability. Gets more compliments than any other car that I have owned, including Porsches.
Body: rust free (what little rust there was was cut out and fixed last year before re painting in original Datsun light blue metallic (looks a little lighter in the pics than it does in person) Nice quality paint - not a super high end show car job, but very nice 8 out of 10. custom hood vents (originals included also). Wiper arms converted to modern hook style wiper connections so they don't flop all around and can be purchased anywhere.
Engine - professionally built (JIS engines) long block with about 15k miles on it. high performance coil, 8mm spark plug wires. later model fuel rail to get rid of all of the hose connections for better reliability. stock fuel injection system with all new injectors, seals, and connectors. Stainless steel Motorsport 2 1/2" exhaust system
Transmission - 1980 model wide ratio 5 speed. plenty of pick up but relaxed 5th gear for cruising on the highway
Suspension - Eibach springs and KYB gas shocks. all bushings and bearings replaced. 15" shakotan alloys with 205/60r15 tires (nice mix of looks and performance. I tried both 225 and 245 tires and while they looked good, they made it steer like a brick. very nimble and light with this size)
Brakes - toyota truck 4 piston front calipers for a little better bite without too much unsprung weight.
Electrical - later model Maxima internal regulator, higher output alternator for reliability and extra capacity. Hella H4 headlights with high and low beam relays.
Interior- very nice condition. 1 small tear on drivers outer bolster may be seen in pics. blue tooth and hands free stereo with infinty tweeters on dash and new speakers in rear. leather covered factory steering wheel, custom "Z" shift knob
