1941 Cord Roadster

In 1939 Auburn/Cord/Duesenburg stopped building Cords. All molds and dies were sold to Graham. In 1941 Graham build a new model called The Hollywood, it used most of the frame and body molds from the famous 812 Cord. HUGE difference, the Hollywood was a 4 door sedan{white phot, this car] this car was sold new in Penn to a race car driver who then moved to Maryland. Cars history says. that in 1949 from a severe storm a tree fell on the Graham. Having always wanted an 812, the owner deceided to modify his damaged Graham to look like the 812 Cord. Bottom line the Graham converted to be a very stylish 2 door roadster, maybe even better looking then the original Cord. The massive deck lid was the roof of a 1947 Buick sedanett, with tailights from a 49 lincoln, dash from a 61 Kaiser and windshield borrowed from a 1940s Chris Craft. Many more parts like the Desoto deck spears were used to build this GREAT looking roadster. It was primed in black, had Nerf bars front and back was featured in numerous car mags. It was known as and campaigned as "THE BLACK PANTHER". We now have several years of missing history about both the car and owner. At some point ( estmated @ early 70s) a chevy product donated a small block v8, automatic trans and rear end. LOST again til the 90s it was found in a Florida warehouse. New wire wheels, painted red, nerf bars removed, it was close to what it is today. Now history I know, I've owned the car about 20 years and made a few changes including; 49 Ford dropped front axle to which I added disc brakes, all new original type springs, tube shocks, 65 Impala S/s bucket seats, Locar shifter, chrome headlamps, swan mirrors, relocated the 12v battery, vintage early Ford wheels with new cokers, hood strap, full tonneau cover and so much more.
Hard to put a value on a one of a kind like this Graham. Cords are $250-300 now SO!!! my starting figure for "THE BLACK PANTHER" will be $150,000.00 Thanks for your time, The last 3 pictures are about 20 years ago when I first brought it home.. I do have tons of stuff about the car including an original mag with some old photos. The print was old and those would not reproduce. the car is in Bolingbroke, ga I have an old Florida title and current Ga registrations. Some of the work on the Graham is 70 plus years old, it is still a solid body, and runs and drives good, did you notice the FLAME THROWERS. Tons of potential, I have models with 2 tone paint schemes and they are super, lots of other ideas, I'm just getting too old to do them. Come save the Graham . WIRE TRANSFER WOULD BE MY CHOICE BUT i WILL BE GLAD TO TAKE YOUR CHECK AND HOLD THE CAR TIL IT CLEARS. CASH ALSO WORKS
