Description:
1970 Cord Royale
Sporting a redesigned look, he Cord was rolling down America's highways once again in the late 60's. This time with plenty of horsepower. The SAMCO model Cords rolled out of the Tulsa factory in two models, he Warrior and the Royale. For sale here is the larger and more powerful1970 Royale convertible with a Chrysler 440 V8 engineand a 113" wheelbase.THIS IS NOT A REPLICA OR CONVERSION CAR! This is a factory-built Cord manufactured in Tulsa OK by a reformed post-bankruptcy Cord company called the Sports Automobile Manufacturing Company (SAMCO), ith Learjet's production vice president leading the manufacturing arm of the new company. This car turns heads everywhere it goes, nd can be purchased for a fraction of the price of an original 1938 Cord. It has not been restored, ut hasnewer paint and anew top, nd in the right hands could be a real standout. The interior has some wear in the carpet and seats, ut it has a real classic and comfortable feel. The suicide doors along with the convertible really give it a 30's retro style.
The car is being sold as-is, nd with no warranty. Delivery within a 50 mile radius can be discussed for an additional nominal fee. It is currently registered and insured, nd is taken out occasionally for local car shows and weekend joy rides in Connecticut.
