Description:
1964 Chrysler Imperial
This lovely old girl is a stalled Grandpa and Grand-son restoration project. It is complete, running, and comes with loads of new parts. Those parts include a number of "Special Effects gadgets" I believe were used to fire "Squibbs"that look like gun shot hits in the filming of a movie.I purchased this car from a Los Angeles based collector of old Movie Cars. This Imperial was believed to have been owned by the actor Glen Ford and was featured in the 1965 Detective Film "The Money Trap" directed by Burt Kennedy, and staring Glen Ford, and a great collection of classic actors. In addition to new tires, carburetor, brakes, and loads of other parts, this car still has the "Special Effects" Squib Firing box mounted under the hood and triggering button still mounted under the dash.
I am happy to answer as many questions as I am able. The Imperial is a good solid car that with a fresh coat of paint, and good strong "Sorting out" should make a really Cool and very special machine.
Unfortunately, my Grand -son has lost interest in the project and I have way too many projects to finish of my own. Oh and there is the money I poured into it...
