This beautiful ‘56 Delray spent its entire life in sunny California. The original owner bought it new, nd drove this car into his 80’s until he was no longer able to drive. The car was then willed to a relative, ho then sold it to the gentleman that built it up as you see it here in these pictures, ith a project that started in 2006 and didn’t end for another two and a half years, nd tens of thousands of dollars.

BODYWORK & TRIM
We could ramble on and on about what your seeing here in these jaw dropping pictures, ut no use making this write up any longer than it needs to be…The pictures and the car speak for themselves! This car is silky smooth coated in House of Kolor’s Orange and black two-tone and all the trim and chrome is in fantastic condition.
ENGINE

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION
Combining tubular chrome control arms with small lowering blocks and drop spindles and QA1 coil-over shocks, his Delray provides a comfortable, urable ride that’s spiced by improved handling. At the center of that satin black skeleton, proven GM Turbo 400-Trans, ith a Gear Vendors 6 speed under/overdrive sends torque from a 2,800RPM stall converter to a stout Ford 9-inch. with 3:70 gears by Currie. At the front of that awesome drivetrain, power-assisted Unisteer Rack & Pinon steering makes quick work of tight spots and sharp turns. At the corners of the car, odern, ower-assisted calipers squeeze a combination of vented and drilled and slotted rotors. At the center of the floor, he spent gases flow from custom made jet hot coated headers in to flow master 40 series mufflers and aluminized pipes. Lets not forget the electric exhaust cut-outs, very guy with a pulse likes those. And all this mechanical greatness rolls on polished Budnik wheels, hich spin the aggressive looking Hankook tires 235/40ZR18 fronts, nd 255/40ZR 19 rears designed to display, his Chevy’s clean floors were expertly restored to perfectly match its super slick body. And everything, rom the car’s stainless fuel tank and polished transmission pan to its CVR starter and Milodon oil pan, nites to create one sharp and dependable cruiser.
INTERIOR
Peer through the car’s smoked windows and you’ll find a full custom leather interior that was installed and built by Armando's Custom Interiors of California. Luxurious power front buckets and a fixed rear custom seat has soft hides that display no significant wear. Between those seats, contoured console hides controls for the aforementioned power windows, nd Electric cut outs behind the convenient center arm rest and storage compartment. Above that console, leather wrapped dash hangs attractive, earview mirror over the Classic Instruments telemetry, ustom Alpine audio system and controls for the car’s heat and Vintage Air air conditioning. At the sides of that dash, ustom door panels anchor sculpted armrests between polished trim and an array of polished handles. At the floor, uality Dynamat insulation balances the leather flooring under billet foot pedals. In front of the driver, classy Budnik steering wheel spins around a polished, ilting column. And behind the passengers, n Armando’s upholstered trunk hides the battery. There is so many fine touches of class inside this interior, ith twin dome lights and custom headliner, o the fine touches on the door panels, his interior was one over-the-top job.
