1966 Corvette 427 /390 hp A.I.R
1966 Chevrolet Corvette
This is a 1966 Corvette that is a real 427/390 HP A.R.I. The Corvette was purchased new from Jack Head Chevrolet in California. I purchased it in 2011 and the person I bought it from purchased it in 1978. Somewhere along the line something happened to the original engine and it was replaced with a 396/402 that was in it when I got it. The transmission is original and so is the Rearend (see photo ). It is a highly optioned Corvette and has the original owners manual and Owner Protection Plan booklet with the Protect-O-Plate that proves its a true 427. The Vette was a great daily driver and survivor with only a fresh original color repaint and replacement engine . Then on September 28, 2022 Hurricane Ian hit Sanibel Florida and my Vette was caught in the storm. Needless to say it was under water and hit with stuff (see photos). I started the restoration process on it. I have had the instrument cluster and clock restored.
