1971 Chevrolet Chevrolet Vega Panel
Up for sale is my 1971 Vega Panel, Original California car with the original blue and yellow plates on it. I bought the 71 Vega panel back in May of 2020. I have done a ton of work to it, see below. Registration is till November 2024.
When I bought the car it came with a mild sbc 350 and 350 trans. Motor mounts are Herbert & meek that mount on the side below headers. The trans went out on me so I had another 350 transmission rebuilt that I installed. Torque converter 3,000 stall by Dice Converter. The motor came with a quadrajet carburetor. I replaced it with an aluminum intake manifold and a Holley 650 double pumper dual feed carburetor.
Car came with a 12 bolt rear end with 3.00 posi, at 65 mph turning 2,850 rpm. Only driven on weekends once or twice every 2 months to car meets.
What I have done to the car over the past 4 years starting at the front of the car:
1) 2 years ago front spoiler from Vegamods
2) New steering gear box 6 months ago.
3) V8 Vega oil pan
4) Front suspension: replaced upper and lower control arm bushings, control arms are stock plus an alignment.
5) B&M Quick silver Ratchet shifter with a new shifter cable.
6) Drive shaft loop 3 years ago.
7) All 4 tires replaced 2 years ago (maybe 3,000 miles on them.
8 Front and rear brakes pads and shoes 2 years ago.
9) traction bars 2 years ago
10) Rear suspension- Aftermarket tubular upper and lower control arms (adjustable type)added rear Factory sway bar.
11)6 months ago added a GT steering wheel.
12) Replaced front shock 2 years ago.
13)Replaced brake mastercylinder with a 1971 corvette brake mastercylinder. Also added Line Lock
14) Removed heater with heater delete. (Motor puts out enough heat)
15) Motor came with headers.
16) 2 years ago Frame connectors
17) 1 year ago added Monza tilt steering column with new key and key switch, also replace power supply on steering column.
18) Battery Master kill switch behind license plate.
19) Replaced gauge panel with GT gauge panel (Speedo, fuel gauge and clock are only gauge that work) added oil pressure, coolant temperature and battery volts gauge in dash. Dash pad sanded filled in cracks and covered with vinyl. Radio in but not wired up.
20) Front wheels 15x4 145/60/15. Rear wheels 15x7 with a 245/60/15
21) Battery mounted in spare tire area
