1984 Chevrolet C-10

This is a 1984 Chevrolet Scottsdale, Sequoia package, C10, 305, automatic, long box, 2 wheel drive pickup. It was purchased by my Great Uncle Art, in 1984, when he was 79 years old. It was used only on the farm its entire working life, being driven predominantly on dirt and gravel roads. Art rarely drove the pickup, and passed away in 1996. The truck was then passed on to his daughter. It was parked inside a building, started occasionally and not driven. His daughter passed away in 2018, and it was sold at her estate auction with 5,032 actual miles. I purchased the truck and have only driven it 29 miles, while showing it. The truck runs and drives. One of the original Nebraska In-Transits is still with the truck, and matches up with it's remnants, that still remain on the windshield. The cardboard instruction label on the passenger side visor was still in the truck when I purchased it.
The truck's body is rust free, and the interior is in perfect condition. The suspension/undercarriage on this truck has surface rust due to its use in dirt/gravel conditions. Art backed the truck into a corner post shortly after it was purchased. The passenger side of the bed was repaired, at the dealership, at that time. When I purchased the truck, the rock guard clear plastic pieces in front of the rear wheels, were badly discolored. I purchased NOS GM stainless steel rock guards, and installed them over the original discolored plastic. The passenger side area around the rock guard does show a paint line, where the repair work was completed. This truck originally was equipped with steel wheels, and hub caps. I still have 3 of the original hub caps that came with the truck. The rear tires/wheels of this truck were removed when it was new, and replaced with mud/log tires for use on the farm. The tire/wheel in the back of the truck is an original tire/wheel/hubcap from the truck, with the tire being date coded correctly. I purchased the rallye wheels for this truck, as they were not original equipment. This truck was used at one point to haul calves to a sale barn, and a stock rack was placed in the back to complete this. The bed does have scratches from its use of hauling livestock and farm items. I purchased a bed mat to place in the bed while showing it. The truck has the Sequoia package, which I believe includes the power windows and A/C. The windows work, the A/C blows air, but does not appear to be cold. If you look closely at the side pictures of the truck, you will see white bolts at the very bottom. These bolts were painted and placed into the holes where there were originally diamond plate running boards attached. This truck also had a cattle guard at one point. I do have a couple old photos of this truck from when it was on the farm. Nebraska does not allow you to retain old titles, but I do have a color copy of the original title. The volts and temp gauge do not appear to be functioning correctly.
I have known this truck it's entire life, and it is an original miles truck showing 5,061. This truck has been sitting in my shop since being purchased in 2018, and has only been shown a hand full of times. It deserves to be in a collection or shown more for more people to appreciate a perfect specimen of a square body truck. If you are truly interested in purchasing this truck, I would suggest seeing it in person, to appreciate it.
