1959 Chevy Viking 60 Dump Truck13 Foot Dump BedAmazing original Condition49,000 ORIGINAL MilesTIME CAPSULE!
Up for sale is my 1959 Chevy Viking 60 series dump truck. Has a 13 foot dump be, made of STEEL, not wood. The racks are made of OAK wood. Truck has the original inline 6 cylinder Chevy Stovebolt engine, which was rebuilt at some time in the very distant past. Also has the 4 speed manual transmission, with 2 speed rear end. The truck runs, drives, shifts, and brakes very, very well. The brakes are also new on the truck, master cylinder, and brake hoses. The paint on the cab is the ORIGINAL now patina effected orange factory paint. Remember, the paint is only original ONCE! Many antique vehicle afficianados actually prefer original paint, to a freshly painted vehicle. However, if you prefer fresh new paint, I'm a professional automotive painter, and would be happy to paint the cab, for a hefty fee, of course! ???? .Even the headliner is the ORIGINAL in this truck, if you can believe that! The grill, bumper, and headlight trim have all been repainted in the EXACT factory coded white paint, using the highest quality catalyzed 2k automotive paint. Wheels and bed have also been repainted, using the same highest quality 2k catalyzed automotive paint ( expensive). Truck is a total TIME CAPSULE!!
Please understand that this is an ORIGINAL 1959 Chevy Viking 60 truck, that is 60+ years old. It's in AMAZING shape for it's age, but of course is not a brand new truck, so there are the anticipated flaws expected in a truck of this age... not many flaws at all.... but small flaws nonetheless . Please don't expect this to be a brand new truck, and you'll be MORE than satisfied with it, I'll assure you!
The truck starts up on the 1st crank every time, even when cold! Very roadworthy truck, that you can use on the farm, or take short trips into a country town. This truck would be excellent for the gentleman farmer, or even serious farmer, who needs a working truck, or just a showpiece for their property. There are so few of these trucks left in existence inthis condition any longer. Soon they will be entirely extinct!
I feel the price of the truck is very fairly priced, considering the condition of the truck, AND the current prices of vintage trucks now days! You'd be very hard pressed to find a similar Chevy Viking 60 truck in this price range and condition, elsewhere. And far less expensive than buying a brand new cracker box tin can made Kia... just to keep things in perspective!
Also.... if you decide to purchase the truck, I know a few truckers with large trailers that can transport this truck to your doorste, and very reasonable expense. Just let me know if you need help with transport, and I'llput you in contact with these fellows.
Please look carefully at the photos for the condition of the truck, and if you have any specialrequests for photos of areas not shown.... please message me, and I will take special custom for you of those areas, and forward them on to you. Please message me with any questions you may have about the truck, and I'll get back to you ASAP!!! I want to see my message inbox CHOCK FULL of questions, guys!! Thanks, and good luck on the purchase!!
