If you’re looking for an unmolested, all original/stock car that was someone’s long-time pride & joy, then this one may be for you. This car has never been in an accident and is all original except for replaced fender/quarter panels and paint, along with standard mechanical maintenance/updates. It has not been driven in anything less than ideal weather for nearly 50 years. The car is a family heirloom, but alas everything changes with time, and my car collection is no exception.
This Camaro was purchased new in Two Rivers, WI, in 1969. The second owner of this car purchased it from the original owner in 1973. The car would then spend the next 42 years in cold storage in a northeast WI garage. It was driven occasionally on only the finest Wisconsin summer days. The car moved to Texas in 2015 (the lone muscle car in a semi trailer full of exotics), but is still in the same family. It is a garage queen and has only been driven a few hundred miles in the last 20 years.
The car has never been modified other than to restore to the original specs (there are two exceptions – a Retrosound Bluetooth radio was installed, but the original Delco AM deck will come with the car, and a pair of rear air shocks was installed to allow adjustment of the car’s stance. In the trunk you will find the original warranty from the dealer and the original owner’s manual. The car drives like a “brand new” 1969 Camaro – straight as an arrow, with a nice classic rumble from the 327 V8 and dual exhaust, and automatic shifting as smooth as butter – it is in perfect mechanical condition and working order.
The original owner used the car as a daily driver 1969-1973 (where the bulk of the miles came from), so in the late 70’s, the second owner started restoring this beauty, replacing the fenders and quarter panels with 100% genuine new metal from GM. The white vinyl top was also replaced and still looks very good (including the rear window, which is clear and transparent) and works great. The doors, hood, trunk, bumpers, and interior are all original (as of course are the engine and transmission). During the 80’s and 90’s, the car won dozens of awards at shows in and around Manitowoc Co., WI, including First Place, Classic Stock 1968-1969 three years in a row.
In 2016, this Camaro underwent a bumper-to-bumper mechanical restoration at Bumbera’s Performance Associates in Katy, TX. While re-sealing the motor, Kenny Bumbera and his crew marveled at what a squeaky-clean 327 this was. The second owner was fond of changing the oil every few months, even though he only put about 100 miles on the car each year!

Full disclaimer – while this description is 100% accurate to the best of my knowledge, the car is not in perfect/showroom condition. As most of it is original and nearly 55 years old, you will find scattered small nicks, scratches, and blemishes inside and out. None of these imperfections are large/obvious or involve rust or structural damage. Everything looks and works as it should – the car is in PERFECT working order inside and out. The photos are accurate – you be the judge. If there’s something you want to see more of, let me know and I’ll try to accommodate.
There are lots of old Camaros out there, but if you’re in the market then you know how hard it is to find a car of this vintage with low miles that hasn’t been wrecked or toyed with in one way or another. I want to know if there is anyone out there looking for a car like this one, with its clean history and meticulous maintenance.
Thanks for looking.
