Running and driving 1964 Chevrolet Impala sport coupe 283 c.i. V8 $25,000 O.B.O.
The car has been in my family since it was brand new. Originally purchased by my grandmother, it's the car my mom learned to drive in and then my uncle had it for about 20 years. He had the car painted ~20 years ago and drove it quite a bit before parking it. I purchased the car about 5 years ago and have done quite a bit of work to get it back on the road. It is not a show car and will definitely need some work including upholstery, some bodywork / paint and a new windshield. There is only one major area of rust I know of (other than surface rust) on the underside (see picture). Trunk lid is rusting on the inside and there are various chips, scratches, and bubbles in the paint. However, the car has good curb appeal and gets thumbs up where ever I got. It would be a great car for someone looking to drive it awhile and then undertake a restoration.
NOTE: Mileage shown on odometer is 71,XXX, I have no idea if this is 70K, 170K, 270K etc? I assume it's at least 170,000 miles

Things I have repaired or replaced:· Transmission rear seal· brake pads· 1x wheel brake cylinder· Brake master cylinder· Rear hard brake lines· All rubber brake lines· Fuel tank (new one is stainless steel)· Shocks (all four)· Rear springs· All suspension bushings front and rear· Rear torque arms· Adjustable rear track rod (to allow larger wheels)· Wheels (Cragar 5 spokes)· Fuel pump· Clean and flush fuel pump system· Rebuilt carburetor· Rebuilt cylinder heads with hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel· New push rods· Points replaced with electronic ignition system· Radiator repaired· New radiator hoses and heater hoses· Replaced water pump· Replaced front seal in rear axle third member· Alternator· Voltage regulator
Things it needs:· Windshield – Really bad, it passed inspection in Texas because that isn’t on the list for older cars but some states may require a replacement· Headliner – Really bad, see pictures· Some upholstery/seat repair – Some cracking of the vinyl, also the driver’s seat is pretty squished from a heavy previous owner· Door cards – need replacement·All interior chrome is pitted· Driver’s side sun visor bracket is broken· Tires – some nicks in the sidewall· Exhaust system – basically shot, will work for now but needs to be replaced.· Paint – It isn’t great, some bubbling / chips. If it stays waxed and dry it should be OK but it’s not a show car.· Minor rust under car – See pics· Trunk lid – It’s pretty rusty inside, should be OK for now but if I ever painted the car, I would replace it· Parking brake (needs a couple of clips to reconnect the actuating cable)· Transmission vacuum modulator? I replaced this once but its still downshifting a little more firmly than I would prefer.· Heater controls – See pictures, some of the slider rails are broken. I don’t actually know if the heater works because I live in Texas and have never had to use it.
