This 1956 California Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck has completed a total frame offrestoration. The entire truck and frame were media blasted. The frame wasprofessionally powder coated in black. The truck is finished in matt red, a wood bed floor with black runners, 15” steel wheels, power steering, 5 speedtransmission and four-wheel drum brakes. This modified restored 3100 wasacquired back in August 2013 with a clean Illinois title. The engine is a Cummins 4bt Turbo, milage unknown. The truck is equipped with 5 speed GM manualtransmission, power-assisted steering.
The fuel tank has been moved out of the cab to the rear frame rails under the bed of thetruck. Around 2013, the frame off restoration started and features a long step side bed, a wood bed floor withblack runners, panted bumpers, painted grill, painted headlight trim rings and painted side mirrors. The entire electricalsystem has been replaced with a new harness system, this includes everythingfrom the main fuse box all the to tail lights.

The cabin housesa bench seat that is trimmed in red vinyl. The GM white/red dashboard featuresa glove compartment, no radio, no heater and no wipers, and additionalappointments include a tilt steering column and sun visors.
The thing in themiddle of the top of the dashboard is a traffic light viewer. It is useful because of the oversized white sun visor on the outside of the cab can obstructthe view of a traffic light. The gear shifter is a tap handle from TinMan Brewing Company and the ceiling is a mashup of beers that were on tap from abar I owned.
A tilt six-spokesteering wheel fronts aftermarket instrumentation consisting of a GPS speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level (not working),voltage, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows 15 miles and is changingas I am driving on occasion, though total actual mileage is unknown
