1972 Chevelle SS 2dr With Numbers Matching 402 Big Block READ DESCRIPTION

1972 Chevrolet Chevelle 2 door SS

Selling my 1972 Chevelle SS. This is a real documented big block SS and has the original numbers matching 402 engine. (Have VVS report included, also in pictures.) The previous owner had the body off the frame to do metal repair work, still needs finishing. Most of the sheet metal on the body is new or has been replaced, including half quarters, complete floor, trunk, rear inner fenders, complete doors, fenders, hood, and trunk lid. It had a quick rattle can paint job done last year just to be one uniform color, also bumpers/valance are just sitting loosely in place for pictures. There is no further rust repair needed besides the trunk lip as seen. Besides that it still needs some of the new metalwork finished, mainly rockers and in the trunk. I would probably recommend redoing the rockers as they don't look like they were done well, they're tacked in but not fully installed. Some of the other metalwork isn't very professional looking but is certainly workable. It has the original 12 bolt rear end and bucket seats with console, seats need recovering. The engine block and heads have been to a machine shop and was completely gone through, currently sits as a long block. Has the correct date coded heads, intake and exhaust manifolds. Originally a TH400 car, no transmission is included. Console has a 4 speed insert but they are interchangeable. Has been off the road for almost 20 years and stored inside, does show some surface rust on the bottom from sitting as seen in pictures, but no rot or anything. Frame is super straight and solid, no repairs or patches seen. Has transferable registration (same as title in NY for vehicles 72 and older). Besides the transmission it is also missing the front inner fenders, and i'm sure a few other smaller pieces here and there, trim/door handles/emblems etc are in the trunk. I have more pictures available, selling at no reserve. Local pickup in Stanley NY zip 14561, vehicle inspectors welcome. I can install engine for transport if needed. Deposit of $500 within 24 hours of auction ending is required, full payment will need to clear before pickup. Vehicle is still inside and can stay for a week or two to find transport if needed once paid for.
