1964 Chevrolet Corvette

Chevrolet Corvette.

This is not a restored vehicle. 1964 L76 Corvette coupe. Complete original numbers matching drivetrain. From the carburetor to the rear end. California blackplate car, last plated in 1991. Now resides in Oregon since 2020. This was a barn find (Storage find), that required mechanical work to get it to its present state. Complete fuel system flushed, tank boiled, coated, new fuel pump, new carburetor (saving the original carburetor of course). Brake system updated, new master cylinder, new brake cylinder on left front, new brake lines, fresh fluids. New radial tires on all four corners. Original hubcaps. The original 365 HP solid lifter 327 runs excellent and shows 54,000 on the speedo. The original 4 speed transmission has the original shifter and linkage. Shifts up and down perfectly all synchronizers working properly. Radio does not work I have not checked to find out why. Speedometer cable made a loud rubbing noise, I’ve removed it but not replaced it. Original tach works perfectly. Both headlight motors work perfectly. Doors open and close with no effort. Both windows roll up and down. Both door locks work. Has working key for gas cap. And has keyed spare tire lock that matches ignition key. I updated the cooling fan system with electric fan. Again, saving all original parts. Runs a cool 194, never overheats. Everything I have found checks out that this car is as close to 100% original as possible. This was the 673rd 64 Corvette to roll off the line in late 1963. Knowing that they sold about 2 hardtop/convertibles for every 1 coupe, this was probably about the 200th 64 coupe produced. This car is far from perfect. It is, (and I hate to use the term, as it’s over used) a true survivor. (see picture of it as found) Restoration could easily take this rare vehicle to the next level. But as the purists say “they are only original once”. Best way to describe this car is a very rare 20 footer. Has its share of nicks, chips and faded paint but never fails to get thumbs up whenever it’s out there. A true investment that even if you do nothing to it, will continue to appreciate because of the rarity and the numbers game that decides what’s what in the classic car world. I’ve watched nationwide for 64 L76 Coupes since I found this one. I have never seen a numbers matching 64 L76 Coupe under 75K. If you don’t think this one is worth 65K now, then wait until next year, It will be. This is a fun “investment” you can drive. Not a shiny new 383 STROKER toy, that will decrease in value, with every road mile and stone chip that every car gets. Many “classic cars” are…. Toys. Beautiful, well built, expensive Toys. Wonderful to drive and look at, but not an investment. Buy this car, flip it someday if you want a change, and you won’t lose a dime. In fact you will make money. That’s what happens when you buy a numbers car. 118 Nova, 138 Chevelle, L76 Coupe, etc. NOTE: Buying from afar, is never easy. Feel free to ask any questions before committing. I am easy to deal with. I will do everything on my end to make a large transaction like this go as smoothly as possible. This car sits in a safe indoor environment. Should you need 30 days to arrange shipping it’s no problem, it can sit here if fully paid for. I’ll keep the insurance on it. Of course, it won’t leave until all funds clear my bank. Thanks Robert 269-223-2763 (kept my Michigan cell when moved to Oregon)

NOTE: I will trade for the “right” C1. Need not be numbers matching, but mechanically sound.
