I picked up this 1972 K20 with intensions on making the ultimate tow rig. Unfortunately, too many other projects in line have put this one on hold so I have decided to let someone else complete it. The truck is virtually rust free and most of the hard work has already been done. The 6BT 12 Valve Cummins diesel engine and Getrag 5-speed transmission have already been installed. To complete the project, you will need to wire the engine, plumb the turbo/exhaust install a radiator with electric fans and the front and rear drive shafts. Once completed this will be an ultimate build!

Exterior:

The truck itself is in remarkably great condition with virtually no rust or damage. The common areas where these trucks rot out are solid - rockers, cab corners, firewall, windshield frame, etc. The bed is also in great shape. It will need very little bodywork to have ready for paint. Even the bottom of the door are solid. The truck has a set of 37" 8 lug wheels with almost new Toyo Open Country M/T 37x13.50R20LT tires. It also has what I believe is a 6" suspension lift.

Interior:

The interior is complete and is in decent shape. It has the factory gauge cluster, door panels and the factory bench seat. It is also a factory AC cab and the Cummins has an AC compressor so it is ready for a Vintage Air AC kit.

Mechanical:

The Cummins 6BT 12 Valve engine has been installed and already mated to the Getrag 5 Speed transmission and transfer case. It K20 3/4 ton truck with a Dana 44 front axle and Eaton rear end. What will be required to get the truck running and driving: complete the turbo & intercooler plumbing, radiator & electric fans, wire engine, front and rear drive shafts, go through brakes (front discs & rear drums), and exhaust.
