1969 Pro Touring LS7 Camaro
1969 Chevrolet Camaro
So Cal Classic Car Storage in Laguna Hills CA is proud to present thisincredible Pro Touring Camaro, “Phosphorus Red” is ready for the next owner to enjoy. This beauty was on the cover and featured in Chevy Performance Magazine. She was a joint effort of several industry notables such as Todd Blichardz, Jeff Schwartz, and Paul Atkins. Schwartz Performance supplied the LS7 engine, complete with Peterson Fluid Systems’ dry-sump tank and ancillary hardware.Blichard, of Todd’s Rods built the suspension using DSE components at both ends of the car and in the middle. Up front is a DSE sub-frame complete with tubular control arms and coilovers and a DSE 4 link and coilovers in the rear. The wheels are Forgeline and the 14" Baer brakes provide plenty of stopping power.Joiners Corner Paint and Body provided the incredible body work and sprayed the Sikkens base clear and the Viper Red topcoat. Civil when needed and nasty enough to have a lot of fun this is truly a balanced build and is perfect in every way! If you are seriously interested in this vehicle I will send you additional photos underneath this amazing car as well as a video as required. Dean 714 402-5309
Engine performance was beefed up by tweaking and refining the Schwartz engine with a COMP Cams camshaft, springs and pushrods, and a streamlined exhaust. No duration figures are known but valve lift is 0.646/0.652 inch. The rotating assembly in the engine is original equipment and untouched. Since the cylinder heads flow like crazy right out of the box, they were also left intact, but attention to the exhaust tract produced 1 and 7/8-inch primary pipe stainless steel extractors followed by an X-pipe and a 3-inch stainless system channeled to race-oriented Borla XR-1 mufflers. The drivetrain deploys a hydraulically activated LS7 clutch and flywheel that transfer torque to the Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed. A PST aluminum driveshaft is 31/2 inches in diameter and fitted with 1350 yokes. In the rear of this bad boy is a narrowed (54 inches) Moser 12-bolt that’s been fitted with 3.73:1 gears and Positraction.
The renowned Paul Atkins fabbed this incrediblywell designed and laid out interior, hanging leather everywhere and redoing the interior panels and headliner to match.DSE dash insert looks incredible with a swath of Auto Meter Ultra-Lite II gauges.MOMO Race steering wheel adorns the interior and is connected neatly to an Ididit tilt column.Vintage Air HVAC keeps things cool.
