1965 Chevrolet Corvette

1965 Chevrolet Corvette - UPGRADES UPGRADES UPGRADES!!! I have owned this car for two years, the previous owner had this car for 22 years and recently did a complete ground-up restoration, starting with a new frame. Included was a folder with $37,000 in receipts. The paint alone was $15,000 and is nearly flawless. Nothing is perfect, but I can't even find any small dings. It has a period-correct 327 engine with a 4-bbl carb which is tuned to perfection. The undercarriage is clean with no rust. The glass and chrome look great. With the advent of the "resto-mod" trend, the "numbers-matching", 100% originaI cars have lost their appeal. I wanted this car to be as reliable and roadworthy as possible, so I personally added the following upgrades.
- Tilt steering column with 14" billet steering wheel.- New gauges and clock- Upgraded rack and pinion power steering.- Serviced and charged the Vintage Air system- New brake calipers- Rebuilt IRS with new clutches- Upgraded rear suspension kit for better ride and improved geometry and handling.- Serviced and charged the Vintage Air AC/heat system.- Upgraded thermostatically-controlled engine fan in the original fan shroud. Car never gets over 190 degrees.- Rebuilt Turbo 350 to replace the original 2-speed Powerglide. Trans shifts solid and will chirp the tires if you get on the gas.
The pictures tell the story, but the car looks even better in person. The interior looks like it did when it rolled off the assembly line on June 11, 1965. This Corvette looks, runs and drives better than it did when it was new. I have put over 1,400 miles on the car since the restoration was completed and I would not hesitate to drive it from NY to LA. I can't say enough about this car. Once you turn the key and put her in gear, you will know exactly what I am talking about. She is quick, light and nimble. The car is tight and clean with no squeaks, leaks or rattles. You could use this as a daily driver or drive it on the weekends to the local cruise spots. I don't expect this car to last long, so bid soon and don't miss out on this one. I am not a dealer. I buy and sell these cars as a hobby. I recently retired so I need to move a few cars, this Corvette being the first. I have a clean Texas title in my name. I have the car listed at a very reasonable price considering todays market. NO TRADES, please don't even ask. I would invite you to come inspect the car or contact me with any questions before you bid. Original trim and VIN tags are intact. You absolutely will not be even slightly disappointed in this fine automobile. The car is sold "as is - where is" with no warranty of any kind. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time before the reserve is met as the car is also listed locally. $1,000 Paypal deposit is due at the end of the auction. Wire transfer is the preferred method of payment. I will keep the car in climate-controlled storage until buyer can arrange transport - or fly in and drive her home.
