Ready for work 1957 Chevrolet 3800 One-ton flatbed truck. Original motor was swapped out in favor of a 1980's 6.2L Detroit/GM diesel unit. Mileage is unknown, but starts and runs great. Installed auxiliary in-line electric fuel pump for added pressure. The motor is a non-turbo version, but aftermarket kits are available. New aluminum radiator, two new batteries. Transmission is the factory SM420 4 on the floor manual with "granny low". The rear end was replaced with a 1990's full float 14 bolt one ton dually rear end with taller gears for higher top speed. I have put about 500 miles on it doing 60mph fairly comfortably on the highway. Goodyear 19.5 tires all around with good tread. Heavy duty steel flatbed with removable wood stake sides and two lower side tool boxes. Has tow hitch receiver built into the bed.Body and paint were done a few years ago. Paint showing some blemishes (see photos to verify) but still gets the thumbs up everywhere. All new glass, seals and rubbers were installed. Interior is in decent "driver" condition. Seat shows some wear. The gauges currently do not function, but a new set of Autometer replacement gauges are included with the sale. Lights and turn signals all function properly. It is ready to drive and enjoy now.
