1969 Chevy C30/1-Ton Stake Body CE339B821732 2- Georgia Owners… Original 56,118 Miles Runs & Drives 100% I Reserve the Right to End this Listing Early Call or Text… 706-831-1899 Up for auction is a 1969 Chevrolet C30 1-Ton Pickup. This truck was owned since new by a tree farm in Tignall, Georgia until 2004. The second owner was my long-time mechanic who owned the old farm truck until he sold it to me a few weeks ago. The truck spent its life in a pole barn at the tree farm and was also kept in a pole barn at my mechanics place as well. The C30 runs, drives, handles, and operates 100% excellent. The truck is close to original except for a couple of upgrades. The second owner added power steering, new aluminum radiator, new heater core, and the original 513 gear was replaced with a 460 gear. I replaced the old worn seat cover with a new factory look alike from LMC and its very comfortable to drive. (I am 6’1” & plenty of room) … All maintenance, services, and upkeep are up to date. Everything works including all lights, signals, horn, gauges, and so forth… except the radio slot is vacant currently. I took the truck on a 50-mile run today through country roads and city traffic to Rec Tec Grills in order to pick up a pallet of pellets that weighed 2000 lbs. The Heavy-duty suspension didn’t drop at all when loaded and on the ride back to home base I couldn’t even tell the truck was loaded. It performed flawlessly and was a pleasure to drive. The truck runs cool as a cucumber and the oil pressure is great cold or hot… running or idling. The windows roll up and down smooth and easy, the transmission shifts excellent in every gear, and the ride is phenomenal… you can take your hand off the steering wheel and it doesn’t move at all just straight down the highway as it should be. This is a real good truck! The factory options: Heavy duty front suspension Brake Booster Equip DR Wheel Conversion Heavy duty radiator Ammeter-Oil Gauge Green Vinyl Trim w/Coast Mirrors Auxiliary Springs E.Q. 16x550F Wheels E.Q. Full Foam Seat Light Green W/Base 157 The paint is mostly original in and out. There is a fair amount of patina but no rust through the cab anywhere. The stake body is 12-foot-long and 7 ½ feet wide with stake pockets. The underside of the stake body has steel support beams every 16 inches. The windshield has a crack in it and some clouding around the edges but can see out of it fine. The second owner told me the windshield has been like that since he owned it in 2004. What else you need to know is that the transmission is a 4-speed granny low. Back in the day we called them stump pullers. I take off in second gear most of the time and with the rear end gear… top end speed/cruising speed is about 50-55 mph. It has plenty of torque and get up and go and the brakes stop great. It has two spare wheel and tires on the bed that come with the truck as well. The matching VIN is present and clear on the frame, on the door Jams, and on the glove box sticker. I’m not desperate to sell the truck but I will for a fair price… I like the truck as good as any I’ve owned and wouldn’t hesitate to drive It anywhere right now. Nada has the followings values for this truck: $12,900 = Low Retail $21,800 = Average Retail $45,400 = High Retail Reading the Value Definitions of each category, I would say the truck falls in between Low and average, and with the low miles and the way it runs and drives and performs… I would say closer to the average value number. I can pick you up at the Augusta GA airport or the Thomson GA (small aircraft) …on almost any day except Sunday You Tube Video Link: https://youtu.be/x16qTBbup_I Please call/text or Email with any questions: Wendell 706-831-1899 Cell southernhotrods@comcast.net I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability.
