This complete and running/driving 1930 Chevrolet Universal Model AD Four-Door Sedan is completely original, unmodified and unrestored. Purchased about ten years ago as a restoration project which was never undertaken and now has been overtaken by events, it is now time for it to move on to someone who can spend the time to bring this wonderful old "Stovebolt Six" Chevy back to its former glory. Selling at No Reserve.
This is not a car that's ready for the road. It is ready for a complete, nut and bolt frame-off restoration. It will require a full set of wood framework for the body, reupholstery, a new wiring harness, and hours and hours of cleaning, sanding, and restoration of components. The items that are needed are readily available from multiple suppliers. The car is 99.9% complete, the metal is sound, and the mechanicals are in working order. The engine is quiet and runs smoothly, the transmission, rear end, brakes and steering all operate properly and without any issues. What's missing: RR Fender, tail light, front floor board, roof fabric, rear bumperettes. The right front door has been removed due to weak wood supports for the hinges, but it is with the car and undamaged.I have restored four Chevys of this vintage and this one is a great basis for a nice restoration. Once paid for, the car can be picked up in Asheville, NC at the buyer's expense, or I will deliver it to a buyer within 500 miles for $1.00 per loaded mile with a socially-distanced delivery to your driveway. The car is available for inspection by appointment. The winning bidder must pay a deposit of $500.00 by PayPal within 48 hours and the balance by either bank wire transfer or Cashier's Check within 7 days. I will store the vehicle for up to 30 days at no charge. I have a clear NC title to the car in my name.
