1970 Chevrolet Nova Pro Street

You can just tell when someone has invested big time in a serious street machine. This 1970 Chevrolet Nova has much more going for it than just the super-slick paint. Because while that's grabbing all your attention, the full race-ready package (including the fully-built performance V8) is ready to blow the doors off of EVERYONE.

The intimidating forward leaning stance, Plexiglas side windows, and extra tall cowl hood all instantly announce this is a street-eating Nova. But what's particularly impressive is how they took the time to give this mean machine a ton of flair. The Atomic Orange paint lives up to its name by being the kind of bold and professional application that can almost glow in the dark. And the huge shine coming off the finish also highlights how straight the bodywork is. The only thing bolder than the orange is the metallic purple stripe package painted on the hood and trunk. There are thoughtful details, too, like how the bumpers are painted silver to coordinate with the tone of the body paint. And there are terrific orange elements like color-matched SS emblems, and even the lettering on the big rear tires are highlighted in the atomic color. So while this one is exciting for its power, it also knows how to impress even when it's just parked.

The Plexiglas windows were your first clue this was all about speed, and when you open the door, you really see just how serious this one is. You have dual racing seats up front with RaceQuip five-point harnesses. There is no back seat so that there's room to fit wide rear tires under the car as well as the full custom safety cage inside. You get a race-ready setup with the Hurst ratchet shifter, Joes Racing switch panel, large AutoMeter Auto Gauge tach mounted at eye-level, and a shift light on the steering column. A thoughtful touch is the exterior-matching orange wrap around the sports steering wheel. While this is full competition-grade setup, the ProStreet segment is about providing a car that also runs on the local streets. So that's why you have the convenience of an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB input to plug in your phone.

The hood completely lifts off like a competition-grade machine should. But you'll also like doing this to show off the tidy and shining professional presentation. The 400 cubic-inch V8 delivers big block displacement in a small block weight. And that's just the start of this performance build. It has been enhanced and fortified with Canfield aluminum heads, Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock hi-raise intake, CSR Performance Products electric water pump, high pressure fuel pump, MSD High vibration ignition coil, MSD Pro Billet distributor, Dynatech ceramic coated headers, and the gasket for a true fresh air hood. And the Northern aluminum radiator with electric fan helps keep it all running cool. You've got serious power and getting it to the ground is a stout TH400 three-speed automatic w/3500 stall. This feeds a strong Strange Engineering rear end. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll spot more great upgrades, like the tubular A-arms up front and traction bars in the rear. There's even the fuel cell and battery in the trunk for better weight over the rear wheels. Add in rack & pinion steering and drilled & slotted four-wheel disc brakes, and you can see this really offers the total performance package.

Complete with build receipts, you can see how this is both a stunner and an intimidator. That makes for one seriously cool and powerful Nova. Don't miss out, call today!
