RESTORATION PROJECT
Selling a 1971 Chevelle Convertible for parts or restoration. It is not an SS, just has SS badge and cowl induction non flapper hood. I bought this car with intentions of doing a ground up restoration, but I have come to realize that I just don't have the time or the resources to get this one done any time soon. It has been sitting outside for many years so before the car gets any worse, I am going to let it go. The car is currently a roller, no motor or transmission but still retains its factory 10 bolt rear. Car will need a total and complete restoration. It will need a full one piece floor, full trunk floor, outer wheel houses, quarter panels, and cowl repair. It has extensive rust in all of those areas including the lower windshield area. The trim tag and vin tag were removed from the car by previous owner when he took the car apart to start the restoration. This is the way I purchased the car and that is the way I am selling it. The car does have good bones meaning the important inner structural parts of the car are solid to add new metal to. The firewall is solid, the rocker panels are good, and the hood, radiator support, and doors are all usable. The fenders are brand new. There is no interior for the car. What you see in the pics is what you get. I do not have any seats, door panels, carpet, top material, or dash pad. I do not have the windshield trim or any other trim. The car does not have a front windshield or any quarter glass, it just has the door glass. The door glass will not roll up as well as doors do not open. They need to be lubricated from sitting out in the elements. Please do not ask if the car comes with anything not pictured. Included with the car is inner fenders, the convertible top frame, steering column, and another "sweeper" dash. If someone hits the buy it now button I will include a good turbo 350 transmission and a 350 motor that spins over by hand. The frame is solid overall especially the front and sides, but is has rust on the passenger side rear frame rail and the metal is starting to get thin, but it is very repairable. The car has a clear NJ title and rolls easy for loading. Please be prepared to pick this car up with a trailer with a winch or flat bed as it does not have an engine in it and does not run.
