1956 Chevrolet Nomad --

In 1954 at GM Motorama, GM desginers and engineers unveiled a uniquely designed 2-door wagon to the public to gauge their reaction to the bold design. Consumers loved the car, tagged as one of Harley Earl's "dream cars". Instead of developing an entirely new model line to support the wagon, Chevrolet, using the existing popularity of the Bel Air name, presented the Nomad as the Bel Air Nomad - a wagon for those looking for more space in their Bel... Air. The wagon was a hit and would continue production on and off until 1972.This '56 Nomad is nothing short of breathtaking. The car underwent an absolute over-the-top restoration. The exterior is painted in PPG paint in its original color combination of Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige. When painted, the exterior was treated to four coats of Delton clear coat, providing the mirror-like finish on the car today. The Nomad bears all its original sheet metal and is straight as an arrow. The vehicles chrome, like every other element of the car, is show quality. The interior, in Copper and Tan, is the perfect mate to the exterior and the copper dash looks nicer than new. The believed to be original 265ci V8 was rebuilt when the restoration was completed and is tied to the believed to be original 2-speed Powerglde transmission. The car fires right up and drives like a dream. An award winning Nomad, this car would be the perfect addition to any collection.Unless stated otherwise, mileage is exempt and unknown if original.
