1955 CHEVROLET 3100 PICKUP
This truck is an excellent foundation for your next project or just drive it and have fun with it the way it is.It is my intention to describe this truck's condition in as great of detail as possible.
Body/Sheet Metal:This truck is in tremendous condition with great patina! Floors, steps inside doors, and exterior sheet metal is all very solid. A small amount of rust exists on one cab corner, but does not need a new corner. It is very repairable as it is. Both fenders are in great shape. Hood is in great condition, but is missing the hood ornament. The box is in excellent condition with the tail gate. Bed wood is in tact, but weathered. The interior sheet metal of the truck is also very solid. Floor, steps, beneath the seat, and over the windshield show no signs of rust.
Interior/Trim/Glass:The interior of this truck is very complete and the seat upholstery shows a little wear. The dash is complete and in good condition. Lights, wipers, and other accessories are in working order (although the wiper blades need replacement). Gauges are in good working order. Glass is all there. Doors with handles and mechanisms are all complete and in working order.
Engine/Transmission/Drive-Train:The engine is not the original 235cid. At some point in the truck's lifetime, the original engine was replaced with a later model 250cid (1966 vintage). The engine is a strong runner and is mechanically sound. The transmission and clutch are also in good working order, shifting through all the gears. Brakes have been bled and the pedal is strong. Also at some point (presumably at the same time the engine was changed), the rear end was switched out for a 5-lug car rear end, and the front hubs were also converted to 5-lug. This truck is a nice driver, and the front suspension is nice and tight. The Chevy Rally Wheels and radial tires make for a nice look and smooth ride.
