1965 BISCAYNE 2 DOOR GREAT V8 PROJECT
1965 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210
I am selling my 1965 Biscayne. I bought it several years ago to build a L-78 396 425 HP 4 speed tribute. (I have a genuine factory 1965 L-78 396 425HP engine that is also for sale separately). (I also have a complete 1965 Impala SS numbers matching 396 4 speed car that I was considering transplanting the drive train from) Car is a 6 cylinder with 85K. Its a nice project car as it is but its dreaming of getting a BIG BLOCK transplant. The previous owner had a body and paint job done on it around 20 years ago. Not a professional job. There is some bondo and some rust but this car is substantially rust free for the year. Car has great bones. The floor and trunk are solid. Needs complete interior and the body needs redone to have a beautiful rare Chevy Classic. It originally had a 2 speed powerglide (not included) and the previous owner installed a saginaw 4 speed. IT STARTS, RUNS, DRIVES AND STOPS GREAT. The exhaust is quiet. I had the brakes redone when I first bought it. It wouldn't take much to pass PA state inspection. I hate to sell this car. These pics make the car look better than it really is but its a great start for a restoration project. If you are interested in a car like this its one you definitely have to see. Don't assume it's a rust bucket. I looked several years to find one that was decent without costing a fortune. I HAVE A GENUINE GM N.O.S. RIGHT DOOR SKIN THAT IS INCLUDED. I have the moldings that are not shown in pictures. I have for sale locally and I reserve the right to sell through my other advertising activity. 814 661 3160 with bid questionsOn Mar-16-19 at 17:41:09 PDT, seller added the following information:
The 1965 Impala SS 396 (L 35) is being sold separately. It does not go with this auction.

The full size exterior pics show better than actual condition. The paint has age issues and there is bondo underneath. The doors, a pillars, floor, trunk and frame are all very solid. The undercoat was applied over 20 yrs ago and it is contrasting colors because of uneven application. The car does need a restoration of exterior and complete interior. This is a very rare and unique body style that will make an awesome classic cruiser.
