Description:

1972 Chevrolet Chevelle

1972 Chevelle: Deciding to part with my 1972 Chevelle, I have been working on it for a few years now, and have been daily driving it in the summer months for the past two years. I finally have a tune in it that I really like for daily driving that makes it a really fun driver, but I have so many projects, and vehicles im building that I just need to part with one or two, to keep my focus on others. There is not a whole bunch of turbo powered muscle cars that you can still put two car seats in the back seat of, and haul the family around, but this is one of them. My kids originally loved this car when i first started driving it, but not are more fond of my C10 as it has power windows and air conditioning haha. This is a great car for someone to jump into a turn key turbo LS, it by no means is a show car at all, but really can be made into anything at this point, the foundation is there for any look you want. If you have questions about the car feel free to email me through the auction here, and I can answer anything you would like to my best ability. I have a few videos of it running as well and the air suspension functioning also.

Current tune is set at 8lbs of boost, and puts out 570hp. We have had the boost as high as 12 and made over 650hp, but for daily driving i liked this the most, its very responsive and just drives best. I will include the springs to set the boost up to your liking.

The Suspension handles fantastic, and has a wide range of ride heights available with the digital touch screen suspension controller in the dash. You can drive the car as low, or as high as you like, and the car still handles great. I did one summer of a few Auto X events before i installed the turbo, and had a blast whiping this thing around the track, it really is fun to drive that way with how it handles.

I had power brakes installed on this car for a couple years and the manual brakes just work better... not sure why exactly, but wilwood themselves suggested i go with manual brakes and im glad I did, as they work much better now, and are not as rock hard to use like before. Wheels are in great condition, the front wheels have one section about 2" long on the outside lip that i caught the fender with while doing auto x once, but really i hardly ever notice it.

Interior of car is very clean and custom, nothing super drastic, but very subtle custom. I get a ton of compliments on the interior. The audio sounds phenomenal, very very loud and clear. The only panels not replaced on the interior is the headliner which is in great shape still, so i never touched it. The Dakota digital gauges are a great thing, you can custom program anything on them to read how you want it to. The rear seat has been upholstered to match the front buckets, and i regularly have a pair of car seats back there to haul around my kids to school and up to get ice cream a few nights a week.
Body / Sheet Metal:The body of the car is in great shape, there is not a lot to "list" so im going to just describe it the best i can. When i got the car a few years ago, the previous owner had just had the rear quarters replaced, and had the car in body work ready for paint, I had seen the work done to it and it all looked good to go. I worked on the motor for a year or so, testing different setups, and then after i settled on what I was going to do motor wise, i sent it out for paint. Honestly, the paint on the car is the thing i like the least on it. I had worked out a deal with my painter to exchange services, and he also got to pick the color out. I dont love the grey color, but it is a nice pearl shade from Lexus called Cement Grey, he said that is what he wanted to paint it in the deal we had worked out, and he just never followed through with the full job. The body is solid, all the bumpers were pulled off, sand blasted, powder coated matte black sealer, the body was sanded down, and sealed up in black sealer, to this point i was pretty happy with the work performed. The color was a surprise by them, and I never loved it really, but it looks cool as you dont see many grey cars on the street driving, and really any muscle car with almost 600 hp looks cool, regardless of the color haha. But, the paint job was never really finished properly, it was not cut and wheeled at all, and honestly i would prefer to just sand it down, and do it again if it were me, which I still may do if i keep it. The body is very solid, no rust at all. The hood is just a carbon fiber wrap on a stock SS hood. I didnt want them to continue with the paint after I was starting to get set aside week after week on my jobs completion, so i just wrapped the hood installed it and started driving. I have a full gallon of paint that can come with the car so you can have the hood painted as well if you like. Paint looks great from about 20ft away, but any closer and you can see they only completed half of the job when it was getting down to crunch time, and i got sick of watching it sit in the corner, collecting dust, so i picked it up, assembled and drove it for the next two years.
All of the trim on the ca, around the windows, the headlight buckets, the door handles, the bumpers, everything is sandblasted and powder coated. some of it got color matching paint afterwards, some of it did not. there is no chrome on it, as i was trying to get rid of it all. I had plans to powder coat the wheels as well, but once i started my new project truck i just never followed through.
Since the turbo, i have about 10k miles on the car, and on this most recent tune, i have about 4500. This is a great running car, very solid and can really be made into anything you want as of right now, keep it as is and have an awesome daily driver, or strip it down for paint and have a bad ass show car also. Trunk of the car is NOT finished off like the interior. It is completely sound deadened, but nothing is trimmed or finished. I planned to just buy one of those genaric trunk kits, have it wrapped in black vinyl, and installed to seal everthing off. I have the vinyl to include that matches the interior
I can assist with shipping, usually it costs anywhere from 800-1800 to ship anywhere in the country, insured. I might work on the "buy it now" price for a serious buyer, just ask.
any questions just ask!
