1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe. This is the one that the Beach Boys wrote a song about.....4 Speed Dual Quad Posi-Traction 409....This car is the real deal. This is the type of car you can take the car to a show or cruise anytime and have reliability....The car has been restored about 10 years ago...it is one of those hard to find Impala's with Dual Quad Carbs sitting on top of a 409 Big Block with 409HP (block matching "QB"stamped on the block). It shows beautifully. The correct Ermine White (factory code 936) paint shines at any angle and has much depth and gloss. In person the car has a knock dead look. NO rust bubbles, scratches, dings, dents or issues. The undercarriage is extremely clean. Very solid, straight, and rust free frame and floor boards. No holes, soft spots, rust, shoddy patch panels or issues. All the chrome and stainless has been redone and show well. The engine fires right up, no smoking, ticking or noises etc. The interior has had just had the headliner, front and rear seat covers replaced (correct blue, trim tag code 842). The car has been converted from a generator to a more reliable alternator. Plus, the brakes have had a power break booster installed, to make the breaking easier. The exhaust has a nice rumble (not too loud) Flowmaster exhaust. The carpet and interior are bright and crisp. The rear suspension has the old fashion air bags inside the rear coil springs, so you can adjust ride height the old fashion way. The original radio is still in the dash, but a modern one is in the glove box for your listening pleasure. Please no trades. I encourage and welcome pre purchase inspections.
