Rare, Pillarless, 1961 Impala 4-Door Hardtop Sport Sedan.
If you're looking for a turn-key classic that's distinctive, affordable, and can carry all your family and friends, this sport sedan is everything you want and more. It also shows well at the local car shows. This vehicle was professionally appraised in September 2017, and assigned a "Current Assessed Market Value" of $18,000 - $25,000. To paraphrase the appraiser:
"The desirability of this particular automobile is strengthened by factory originality of the engine and mechanical parts as well as the interior patterns. It is therefore important to note that the vehicle meets the condition of a high-quality collectable automobile. This automobile is in excellent condition from both a physical and mechanical operation standpoint, as determined by an exhaustive physical inspection."
Clear Texas Title. Many new parts. I have detailed maintenance records dating back to when I purchased the car in Mar 2007, and a record of maintenance dating back to Jan 1999 was given to me when I purchased it. I wanted it to be in top shape to turn over to a new owner, so I had $2,893.00 worth of repairs, modifications and "tweaks" completed in Sep 2017. I have the receipt. The odometer reads 74,396 miles, but that is not the actual mileage.
The NADA "Average Retail Value" for this vehicle is $16,470, but this car easily surpasses the description of what qualifies as "average". It also does not factor in the conversion from a Powerglide to a newly rebuilt 700R4 transmission, which drastically improves ride quality.
