This Texas solid '61 Chevy Impala is a nice driver quality example. The exterior displays all original trim and body panels front to back. This is an original Ermine White car with one repaint that we can tell. The car is a southern example, rust free with excellent undercarriage metal. The doors open and close easily and all of the windows roll up and down freely.
The body has many superficial dings on close inspection. When the car was repainted, it doesn't appear any body work was done. This is a survivor-type car with a repaint that has had mechanical work as needed over the years. It has radial whitewall tires all around on the original steel wheels. The steering & the brakes feel good. This is a great car to cruise in. The original 283 2bbl. V8 runs smooth with plenty of power and the Powerglide automatic shifts as it should. Be sure and check out the video. All of the glass is intact and shows well with exception of a cracked windshield.
Under the hood is the original & previously rebuilt 283 2bbl. V8 paired with the last year iron powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. This car is optioned with power brakes & power steering. The original trim identification plate is intact along with the sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders and core support.
The interior features factory correct & excellent upholstery front to back. The door panels & headliner is intact and the dash displays all original gauges & trim. The radio knobs are missing along with the lighter.
The door undersides are in great shape.
