Description:
1972 Chevrolet C-10
This is a 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne. This truck has great shop truck potential. The title and registration is free and clear. It is registered in the state of Georgia. The original cab was replaced in the past due to some damage froma big fallingtree limb or a falling tree. The cab was replaced with a 1969 C10 cab(The truck is registered as a 1969 C10 because of this fact.), CE V8 cab, disc brakes, 5 lug, 12 bolt rear end, fleetside bed, 350 engine, automatic transmission, and a good truck to build. It needs rockers, cab corners, upper passenger side door hinge needs repair(It can be repaired if you remove the door and take your time. I would use some 16-18 gauge sheetmetal to make a quality repair), the fenders are not perfect, and the front of the floorpans needwork. The bed has a bedliner in it. Thebed floor has spray in bedliner covering it along with a greasy covering. This was a Grandpa run around truck or shop truck. Please see the photos as I have made every attempt to show everything. The family believes this is a $3900 truck. I have been charged with selling the truck and will do my best to make a good deal for all parties involved. If you want to pay the $3900 please let me know and I will set up the buy it now feature for you. If not, please bid to win as thehighest bidder will get this truck at the end of the auction. This truck was parked due to someissue. No onein the familyremembers exactly what the problem was when it was parked. I was told that a mechanic was working on it, he left, and he never came back. I have given the truck a good inspection. When I went to load this truck onto my trailer the first thing that I noticed was that springs onthe hood hinges were missing. The hinges will shift back and forth because of that fact(I have several sets of hinges for these trucks and can help you remedy that problem with a good set). The second thing I noticedwas that the distributor was missing. I loaded the truck onto my trailer and removed it from the property. I later unloaded the truck from my trailerand began troubleshooting to find out if the truck would run. I removed aheidistributor and a batteryfrom one of my cars that runs. I put the truck's engine at top dead center and installed the distributor using the wires that were already with the truck(some of those wireshave burnt areas because they touched the headers). After it almost started several times. I looked at the plugs and they weren't in the best condition. I went and purchased some from Autozone and installed them. The truck started right up as I slowly moved the distributor back and forthto find that #1 cylinder sweet spot for the timing. I added transmission fluid and changed the engine oil. The truck goes into forward and reverse gears. The brakes work great. I haven't been able to drive it as the timing is not set perfectly. I can give it gas and keep it running, however, if I give it too much gas it will spit back through the carburetor and stall. There is no timing marker on the timing chain cover which would allow me to get the timing perfectusing the harmonic balancer. I had to eyeball it. The engine has an aluminum Edelbrock intake, chrome valve covers, and a chrome timing chain cover(someone forgot to install a new timing marker). I can knowingly say that the engine runs(I don't hear any concerning noises coming from the engine except that the header gaskets need to be replaced), the transmission will go into gear, and the truck does try to move. When you give italot of throttleit spits back through the carb and dies. Please look at your familiessituation and bid accordingly. Once again, please look at your situation, and ask any questions that you may have prior to bidding as I will honestly answer your questions, and only bid if you can afford to finish the deal please.I will accept the deposit via PayPal, Wal-Mart Money Center, bank wire transfer, etc. I will assist you or your transporter with loadingat pickup.
