This auction is for a genuine 1967 Impala SS 327.This is not a clone or tribute car,,but is a numbers matching piece of American muscle car history.I found this car in southern California where the original owner had it stored in his garage for the last 26 years and how his kids and grandkids couldn't wrestle it from his hands I don't know,but I'm grateful for the opportunity to own and work on this legendary car.The original owner treated himself to this car when he mustered out of the service in 1967 and kept it lean and mean and special ordered few options.The car has power steering and an AM radio but is void of any other options except the SS package with bucket seats,console,performance engine and badges.He kept the car in great condition and the southern California climate was kind to the car so it required a minimum of work to return it to the condition you see here.I had the front seats reupholstered,,he had previously replaced the carpet and the original dash. and remainder of the interior were great.The car had one previous repaint in 1982 and minimum rust to repair,however I had the car professionally repainted in it's original Bolero red color and anywhere rust was encountered,it was properly cut out and replaced with original quality repair panels.The stainless steel and aluminum trim was all restored to original and polished.The car shows very well and draws comments from everybody who sees it but it wasn't a frame off' 100 point restoration and the result was a beautiful weekend cruiser.The car runs and drives well.The original high performance 327 engine and powerglide transmission perform as expected.This will be a great addition to your fleet and will bring you years of pleasure and admiration.If you're in the market for a reasonable piece of American muscle history,this is it.
