1978 Chevy Silverado Heavy Half
1978 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
I bought this truck from the estate of the original owner. I have owned it for over 6 years. It
was originally purchased from Neuman Chevrolet in Garland Texas. In the 1970's Neuman would take a well equipped Chevy "Heavy Half", pply a custom paint scheme and a few aftermarket accessories, hen sell it as a "Camper Special".
This truck still has the custom paint that Neuman applied. The engine, rans, tc. are all original. It has slightly over 123,000 miles on it and runs great. It does have a slight miss at idle but smooth's out when driving.
The spare tire in the original Uniroyal G78 glass belt. It still holds air but might not hold up if put into service.
Front bumper has the very rare push bar option.
Originally equipped with speed control option which is now disabled.
Interior seating fabric is not original, lthough most of the vinyl material and all of the foam/springs are original. Dash and door panels are Coverlay products. It still has the original cardboard package tray behind the seat.
