This 1949 Chevy 1/2 ton shortbox pick up truck is a true survivor that runs and drives and is mostly unmolested. It is mostly original paint although the previous owner did som, in my opinion, minor filler on the fenders here and there and cab corners. I really videoed it well so you can see what the truck is, pretty solid overall and it has a great look! I have a clean Iowa title in my name ready for you to register it! The floors and doors are solid and the glass in the truck is all there but does have some cracks as pictured (easy fix $30 average per a glass panel jim carter trucks or lmc trucks) The doors are solid and the windows go up and down and the doors shut the way they should with no sag. The box has a plywood floor. I noticed at 30 mph plus a slight vibration in the front, the tie rod and steering rod should be replaced (easy cheap fix) The seat is original and the springs are good and solid. I put a seat cover over the original upholstery. The enigne has no knocks misses or smoke. The gears all shift good. The truck has a new brake master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders, and new brake lines. (the fronts should be redone) It has a reconditioned radiator, new water bump, belts, hoses and had a tune up done. we bypassed the original 6 volt wire harness ( it still intact in the truck) to a 12 volt system, we hooked the headlights up so you can use them. The gas tank should be cleaned out before using heavy, I am running the truck off a aux tank in the video. Take a look at the video and look at the pics, this is a drivable truck you can use while you take it to the level you want. I do not want to overcall this truck or undercall it, so I invite you to come drive the truck by appointment or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you. The front license plate and topper, and thermadore air cooler, dice do not go with the sale as they are part of my personal collection.Let the pics and video tell the story of what the truck is. I really focused on any cosmetic blemish I saw so you can get a great idea on what you are buying.
