1961 Impala Resto ModIts hard to beat the look of a black on red bubble top! This car will draw a crowd wherever it goes. 61s have been steadily rising in value and popularity, and an example like this is sure to appreciate.
This is a nut and bolt restoration and has just had a ton of money invested and has had lots of upgrades. It has powersteering, disc brakes, air ride, upgraded drivetrain, and is a blast to drive.
This is a factory black on red car.
This Impala has a newly installed air ride suspension that is fully adjustable. The air ride consist of all high quality components from Ridetech, Viair, SMC, and Air Lift. This is a bolt on setup, and could be returned to stock suspension later on if someone wanted to do so.
The car haspowder-coated tubular upper and lower control arms.
This 61 gets its stopping power from a massive 14" z06 Corvette brake setup. Fed by a new Wilwood master cylinder and all new lines.
The wheels and tires are new as well. They are 2 piece billet wheels from Esajian, custom built for this car. 20x10 in the rear and 18x8 up front.. They are wrapped in new z rated rubber.
Under the hood of the car is very nicely detailed and is all new. The motor is dressed to look vintage but has all been upgraded. The engine was painted out of the car and was done with base / clear. All parts were painted a detailed before installed on the motor.
The motor is a nicely built 283. Its bored .030 over and has a mild cam. It has an Edelbrock electronic choke 4 barrelcarb. The intake is an Edelbrock Performer. It has a new HEI distributor and high torque mini starter. New hi flow electric fan. All new plugs, wires, hoses, belts, water pump, alternator, hardware, brackets, gaskets, seals, etc. The motor runs great! It fires right up and sounds awesome! It has all new exhaust with flow-mastermufflers.
The transmission is a fresh TH350 turbo that was built for the car. Is has a mild shift kit and shifts nice and firm. It was detailed and painted as well prior to being installed in the car. The Driveshaft was just done and has a new yolk and new u joint.
The car was painted Tuxedo black and is super slick! It was done in base / clear and has been wet sanded and buffed to a mirror like finish. No blistering, bubbling, or orange peal. It is straight downthe sides. The doors open and close nicely.
The interior on the car has all been replaced and looks great!
The underside of the car is very nicely detailed. The floors were painted in red oxide primer similar to what was used in the factory. The frame and rear end was painted gloss.black. All the front suspension and steering parts were stripped and painted. The fuel tank and sending unit are new.
The car has nice trim and bright work. It has new door handels, fender ornaments, hood letters, trunk emblem, grill emblem, crossflags, antenna, side moldings, and more.
The glass and window frames are original and very nice for their age.
This 61 has working headlights, taillights, turn signals, dash lights, signal indicators, high beam indicators, speedometer, oil light, fuel gauge, temp gauge, E brake, E brake warning light, heat, defrost, horn, wipers, dome light, fan & temp control light, glovebox light, and cigarette lighter. The original AM radio turns on and lights up, but is staticky.
This is a very nice car that runs, drives, and rides great. It is dialed in and ready for someone to enjoy!
