Decided to sell my dream truck. This one is all about what's under that wicked patina, it's been built to drive with some of the best parts you can buy. Arguably the best year and spec of any pick up chev made.

9.8:1 compression hypereutectic pistons
Hydraulic roller .480/.480 at 235 degrees of duration
Late model D port corvette aluminum heads 58cc
4 bolt main

Makes 383 ft/lbs at 4500 rpm and 347 hp at 5500
Polished water pump and chrome alternator
Rebuilt TH350 trans with trans-go shift kit
B&M 2400 RPM hole shot converter
Sanderson headers
3" exhaust with Walker Turbo exhaust
Black Magic Electric desert fan with thermostat and override switch in cab (will never overheat)
Aluminum 16gal fuel tank under bed
All braided or hard fuel line
Electric fuel pump
Majority of work incl. wiring has been done by resto shop in El Cajon CA
Suspension and brakes:
'79 Corvette independent rear suspension with 3:55 POSI and upgraded Vette disc brakes
Heidts Mustang II independent front suspension with power steer
CPP front sway bar
Bilstein shocks all round
Additional bracing to frame
Most welding done by aircraft certified mechanic
Wilwood brakes up front and braided lines
Upgraded manual master cylinder and new lines front to back
Best suspension you can fit to one of these trucks and some of the best brakes, so much more feel than a vac can and is not heavy like people think
Exterior:
The most desirable '55 year, big window with deluxe trim
Sheet metal is in exceptional original condition
Very minor rust issues (see photos)
Awesome looking patina makes this a very unique truck that always stands out at shows
New front and rear glass with new rubbers
New vent rubbers
New felts and weatherstripping
Door glass has crack which suits truck but I have replacement
New American Racing staggered Torq thrust wheels
Near new Cooper Cobra G/Ts 235/60r15 fronts and 295/50r15 rears
Bed was just finished off with neat patina look and 4 coats of epoxy which sits on aluminum sheet
Doors shut nice
Interior:
Interior painted in custom ivory enamel with glass out and doors off then completely reupholstered < 50mi
Fatmat insulation throughout
Later model refoamed seat, much more comfortable than original
Camaro tilt column
Beautiful handmade wood steering wheel
New autometer gauges
Pioneer Bluetooth headunit with Bluetooth, radio, cd, usb etc. in glove box
6x9 speakers mounted in enclosures behind seat (sounds awesome)
Really nice B&M shifter mounted on center console
Belts for 3
If you're after a truck that drives awesome and goes like hell then this is the one. It's full of quality parts in a usable package, not to mention they really don't come better than a '55 short bed big window. As you can see in the video it's very easy to throw around and with the suspension upgrades it will stick to the road f you don't drive like an ape.
I have a ring binder full ofreceipts, wiring diagrams, manuals, installguides, 100s of photos over a few decades and other relevant info on the truck.
