1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible

Here's a 1975 Eldorado convertible in Jennifer Blue, the ultimate cruise night vessel. No trailer needed, it's turneky-reliable and drives great. It's powered by the venerable 8.2-liter/500 cu.in. V8 mated to the 425 TH automatic. The smog pump and catalytic converter were mercifully removed by a previous owner. The cruise control and balky pneumatic shocks were also previously removed.Power windows, locks, seats, antenna, top, and trunk-pulldown all work as they should. The air conditioning was converted to 134a and works when charged. The body shows well with a small spot of surface rust near the rear window trim. The bumpers and trim are in original condition and are oxidized. The interior is excellent with new seating surfaces, panels. and carpet. All primary and secondary systems function as they should. This car will not win any concourse events, but it gets plenty of attention at cruise night and draws waves, thumbs, and smiles wherever it goes.
I purchased this car in 2013 from an estate. i was told it was resprayed in the original color around 1995 and there are some obvious signs of paint & bodywork. The engine and transmission were rebuilt around the same time. The brakes were completely rebuilt just prior to 2013 and they continue to function like new.
I got the car in the Fall of 2013 and over the course of the next 12-months did the following:
  • New front wheel bearings/hubs/ball joints
  • New whitewalls
  • New Electron top with heated glass and pivots/cables
  • New front floor panels
  • New carpeting/padding and custom Lloyd floormats
  • New white leather-grained vinyl upholstery
  • Interior door panels reskinned
  • Rear interior side panels rebuilt
  • Retro-look stereo with 4 new speakers (I have the old OEM 8-track unit)
  • New power antenna
  • New exhaust from intermediate pipe to tailpipe.
  • New weatherstripping
  • A few other bits and pieces I am sure I forgot about.

I'm happy to further discuss the details or arrange a test drive.
Bid with confidence; I've sold many cars here and my feedback speaks for itself.
Now the obvious stuff:This is a 43-year old car that has been well-cared for but is still a 43-year old car. It has been driven less than 5K miles in the last 5-years. Though I never hesitate to take it to work on occasion or get in and go on a sunny Sunday, I make no guarantees about the condition of any of the mechanical systems. There are plenty of small idiosyncrasies that go with the car at no extra charge!
A $500 non-refundable deposit is due via PayPal with 24-hours of the end of the auction. Full payment in cash is due 7 days later.I will transfer title to the buyer only once full payment is rendered. The car comes without registration stickers and I will not loan license plates.I cannot arrange for financing or insurance. I cannot arrange to ship the car but I will make every reasonable accommodationto work with your shipper of choice.
My reserve is set below 5-figures, and I reserve the right to adjust it in response to bidding.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
