The Car's Summary:

This Cadillac received an extensive restoration from 2015 to 2017 that consumed lots of time and money. This Convertible has been a pampered all its life, clean all over, garaged kept, adult owned, well serviced, high octane fuel always used, non-smoker, no accidents, no rust, very little ware and drives out perfect. About the Car:

This Eldorado has very desirable rarecolors, new Cadillac Cassandra Red paint with New black interior, black convertible top and Tonneau Cover. The car also all new door/window/top/trunk rubber seals, new seat covers, new carpet, new convertible top, new tires, new Bosch wiper blades, like new engine compartment and many other new recently replaced and restored parts. The car has no major electrical or mechanical problems, (A full disclosure is listed below.) It runs, drives, stops and handles extremely well.

About the Car's History and Maintenance:

It has had 3 enthusiast owners since new and has always been garaged, loved and cherished. The has spent its life in Oklahoma,Missouri and Texas. The oil was changed religiously; every surface on the car is clean and has very few flaws, no rust, dents or dings. It also has its original factory owner's manual and has never been altered from original.

The Cars Drivetrain:

The engine compartment is very clean all over, nice painted surfaces, no leaks and looks like new. The car always stays cool, even on 100 degree days. I just the changed the motor oil, filter and replaced the transmission fluid, filter, pan gasket and Vacuum Modulator and adjusted the shift spring and the transmission shifts like a new car. It also has recently replaced coolant hoses, new cap, rotor, spark plugs and air filter. It starts on the first turn of the starter and ideals perfect. The motor runs great at all RPM’s and does not smoke or leak anything. 501 cubic inch 8.2 Liter V8 front-wheel drive automatic, variable-ratio power steering all works correctly and the car has always received lots of preventative maintenance and regular oil changes. The front wheel drive system is in perfect order and has had the axels recently replaced. It also has quite exhaust system with recent muffler.
About the Car's Electricals:
All the electrical, items on the car are in working order including the power top, power windows, power door locks, horn, lighters, defroster, heater, ventilation fan,6-way power seats, fender mount lamp monitors, Twilight Sentinel, all the courtesy lighting, all interior and exterior lights, turn signals AM/ FM radio 8 track player. Recent battery, recent alternator, two new electric window motors and all good working switches. The electric wipers and the window washers work correctly and the car has new Bosch Wiper blades.

About the Car's Interior and Trunk Compartment:
The car’s interior looks very nice. All the interior plastic, leather, vinyl, glass, carpet look great and have no rip, tears or cracks. The car has a new carpet, new seat covers. New black carpeted trunk covers nice dash, interior panels, and steering wheel and sun visors.

About the Car’s Exterior:

Just finished a repaint in the cars original color,Cadillac Cassandra Red PPG base coat clear coat paint job with a deep highly reflective show quality finish,with very few imperfections. All the rubber door, window, convertible top and trunk seal are all new. It also has a new black,convertible top, very clean with no cosmetic flaws. The exterior glass, chrome, plastic, rubber, vinyl are all in near perfect shape.

About the Car’s Suspension and Under Carriage:

This Cadillachas that famous float on air in the lounge chairthe feel. It has had recently replaced shocks,both front and rear, the rears are air shocks. It also had some bushing replaced in the front suspensiona realignment and tracks true and straight.It corners great for a big car, drives very straight down the road with no vibrations. It has recent brake pads. It will stop quickly and it is very difficult the get the wheels to lock up. It is very predictable in a panic stop and all ways stay straight and gives you a good feeling of comfort when driving around with allthe new carsthat can obviously stop muchfaster. The underside of the car is very clean and has only normal light surface rust and the cars original undercoating is still present. Ihave alsojust replaced the back half of the exhaust system.This Cadillac can be driven briskly in modern traffic andit feelsgreat at highway speeds of more the 70MPH. It also has new white wall radial tires.

With full disclosure and honesty in mind, here is a list of the cosmetic issues and minor inconveniences that seem to come with 40+ year old cars that can be easily address:

  • Some minor flaw in the paints and chrome
  • The A/C system is still r12 and may leak Freon
  • The passenger sun visors mirror has a crack
  • The power antenna recently stopped working
  • The electric clock is not working
  • The cruise control needs a replacement vacuum diaphragm

    This car's first car show:

    I just took "Ruby" to her first car show after the restoration. It was the MSP Car Show in Addison TX on May 27th 2017. There were about 90 cars in attendance and Ruby competed in the 1970's Car Class with 9 other show cars and took the Best in Class Award and Trophy!

    This Cadillac is inlevel 2 condition. It has been well cared for and is in no disappointments condition. The car has a clean Texas Title in my name. I feel confident that that the car would drive to anywhere in North America reliable. This 5,200 pound car was designed right, very easy to get in and still very quick by today’s standards. It gets lots of attention everywhere you go and will easily win trophy’s at car shows. This Eldorado is a perfect parade car, just in time for 4th of July celebrations, with room for 6 or more of your friends or family. You need to compare this car's condition to the others on eBay beingsold by dealers with lower miles, higher prices and very little discription, but if you are looking for the best, this is the one!
