One Owner 1986 GN fully documented original Florida Car
So my name is Eric with DuraBurb and we build Duramax SUVs, take a moment to look us up and you will see who we are.
This was bought by a friend of mine brand new in July 1986in Deland FL at Kiser Pontiac Oldsmobile Buick 2 weeks after I graduated High School and after one ride I was hooked and went on to own several my-self. Bobby kept this original but heavily modified, in the late 90s to early 2000's I went on to be known as the GNV8Kid as I would take 84/85 (hot box cars) and swap them to Tuned Port Injected 5.7 engines with T04 72mm turbos @ 12PSI, hey if 6 is great 8 has to be fantastic and iit was LOL.Never beaten at Orlando Speed World (not the fastest but never beaten) Bobby in his car finaly ran me down in the fall of 2000 uhg!My wife and I had already started a family and I got out of the scene but in 2009 when Bobby passed from Cancer I petiioned his wife for the car and 8 years later she finally sold it to me BUT with every single piece of documentation with it! I didn't even realize he had held on to all of this and it is quite the time machine.Fast forward to now and I have to accept I probably will not finish this project so I want to hand it over to someone who can fulfill the goal
The Great:This car has never been out of Cental Florida and as such is rock solid but not without its clasic G Boby flawsIt has never been in an acident or dented anywhere ever, not even a door ding as Bobby was very protective of his pried and joy, this GN is absolutly arrow staight!as you can see in the photos the Quarters / Rockers / fenders are pristien, the floors are all solid and the frame is obviously rust free. In the trunk it is all solid needing minmal clean up, I have included iner photos of the rear quarters viewed from inside the trunk and as you can see it is clean and dry, everything in the car is original and unmolestedThe Not Great:This car has been sitting for 15yrs and so has incured some repairable decay, the interior is complete and original but needs to be complety redone including carpet but the door panels and all plastic trime is fine and unfaded. The A pilars have the typical rust intrsion common to G Body cars but are completly repairable, the T-Tops are fine but the base of the roof will need to be striped and restored, the Passenger door is in my opinion beyound reasonable repair but I have a set of soilid clean 86 regal doors needing very niminal rust repair on the bottom lip that go with the car.This car is a easy resto for someone with the time.
I was set to do a Turbo 6.0 LS swap with a 2007 L96 / 4L80 which the winning bider can have for 2500.00 extra, it includes the entire drivetrain and the tubo manifold as can be seen in the pictureThis can be turned into a solid 10sec daily driver that has a great pedigree and would be a real head turnerThe engine & trans are out of a 2007 2500 Suburban that we built for a client and has 206K MI, it runs perfect and has great oil presure but my intention was to build the Transmission and refresh the motor along with a 75/78 Turbo, set at a slight 8PSI of boost (very daily driver capable) it will be good for north of 600HP and a blast to drive
