1986 Buick Regal T-TYPE

Vehicle Details

One family owned since new. I am the second owner. This regal spend the first 22 years in a rural setting where the majority of the miles were accumulated. The car was well cared for, but driven regularly on gravel which chipped the paint substantially on lower doors and lower quarters and packed the undercarriage with dust. Mice got in it during this time period.

I purchased the car from family in 2007 and drove it home. Car has been garaged since that time except for occasional short drives around the neighborhood. I’ve put less than 300 miles on the car in the last 15 years. Here’s a list of what I’ve replaced while I owned it:

-Replaced carpet in cab and trunk

-Headliner recovered

-Replaced rear coil springs and shocks

-Replaced fuel tank, tank straps, fuel pump, fuel filter

-Replaced fuel injectors (ACDelco)

-Replaced all coolant lines and hoses, water pump, heater control valve (ACDelco)

-Replaced valve cover gaskets

-Replaced spark plugs and wires

-Installed Powerlogger

-Replaced miscellaneous engine sensors (ACDelco whenever available)

-Replaced battery

-Drivers door strip reinstalled. Paint damaged under strip from wrong adhesive use.

List of general defects in no particular order:

-Mice smell present. Carpet replacement and interior cleaning made it much better, but needs noted

-Front and rear bumper fillers are dried out and broken/falling out. Car comes with new front and rear Goodmark parts that will need painted and installed.

-A/C does not work

-Front speakers don’t work.

-Tires hold air and look decent, but they’re at least 20 years old and need replaced.

Body and frame are solid. Paint is fair. Photo of the trunk lid shows spots/marks in the paint that are representative of all the paint on car. There are several scratches and small dings and dents.

Mechanically- this is a project car. It runs with no check engine lights, however I don’t drive the car very far or very often. I feel the car runs rougher at idle that it used to. There are signs of seepage, but generally no leaks on floor. Update- I moved the car last weekend preparing for sale. When I moved the car this weekend to take photos there was a small puddle of what looked to be coolant under it.

Hydro boost is operational. Pedal feels similar to when I bought the car in 2007. I would not be surprised if pads, shoes and rotors would benefit from replacement.

This car will need to be trailered or transported by buyer as it’s not roadworthy for a hundred or thousand mile trip.

Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close and car must be picked up within 14 days of auction close. Thanks for looking.
